We hit 60k! It feels like just yesterday I was celebrating hitting 50 and I’ve barely had time to catch my breath since then! 🫶🏻I know it’s not all about the numbers but I feel so honoured that people care about my work and are invested in the message behind it…thank you so much! 💕

We’ve been shortlisted for an award! J.O.STUDIO is a finalist in the @thisismcrawards Force of Fashion award alongside, my absolute faves @we_are_bepo 💅🏼💅🏼To be recognised for all the hard work the team and I have been putting in recently feels incredible,,I am very proud of us for coming this far. 🥹

For everyone who’s supported, bought, shared, passed my name on, a big big thank you! 💘I’ve put my all into J.O.STUDIO for the past 2 years and this summer has felt more surreal and exciting than I ever could have imagined! Bring on more sustainable, circular, repurposed fashion goodness ♻️🫦

It’s officially September again … which means it’s exactly one year since the start of @wearabouts_pod Season 2!

The podcast helped me learn so much about production, but also how to apply practical skills to both my degree and career.

I couldn’t have had a better team to work with and be inspired by every week, so thank you so much to everyone involved!

Our episodes are still available on Spotify if you want to revisit last year’s guests!

Live From The Grill on the rooftop of Depot Mayfield was always going to be massive step up but just throw in 4 months worth of wet weather for good measure.

By far one of the most challenging weeks I’ve faced in events, but having an amazing team around you makes those challenges much easier to overcome.

Big thanks to everyone who has either worked tirelessly to make this a success, came to cook, perform, or just support and showed face. You know who you are x

✨ It’s here… Manchester Scene Stories: Book 4 – The Clubbers is now available. ❤️

From the coffee bars and basement clubs of the 1960s to today’s grassroots raves, The Clubbers tells the story of Manchester nightlife through the people who lived it.

Across more than 30 first-hand stories, clubbers, DJs, promoters, artists, writers and venue workers share the memories, friendships and moments that shaped Manchester’s music scene.

From the Twisted Wheel, Pips and the Electric Circus to the Haçienda, Paradise Factory, the Reno, the PSV, Havok, Corbières, Dry Bar, the Gay Village and the dancefloors being created across Manchester today, this is a celebration of the people who made these places special.

The book spans Northern Soul, punk, electro, hip-hop, indie, Acid House, techno, jungle, drum & bass and queer club culture, showing that Manchester’s musical history belongs to everyone who was part of it.

One quote stayed with me throughout writing this book:

“Not everyone gets to shine for the masses, but some of us shine for our friends.”

That perfectly sums up The Clubbers. This book puts the people on the dancefloor centre stage, because the story of a club was never just about the DJs—it was about everyone who turned up and made the room matter.

📚 Manchester Scene Stories: Book 4 – The Clubbers is available now in paperback and Kindle via Amazon. Thank you to everyone who trusted me with their story. ❤️
