We are a caring and hard-working school in Toxteth, Liverpool. #eachandeverychild. Proud to be part of @rainbow_edu_mat

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We are now officially launching our new "School Uniform Donation Station" in JobsPlus Toxteth.

We are looking for donations of excellent-to-good-condition second-hand uniform from L8 schools, particularly from St Sila's, St Patrick's, St Cleopas, and Windsor Street Primary School.

General donations of generic white/blue polo shirts/skirts/dresses would also be a huge help. We will then organise everything and wash them in the local laundrette, and then be able to distribute them for free to local families to help and support them.

If you are happy to help, please get in touch with Liam on:
07342 486365 / liam@transform-lives.org
Thank you for your kind support in advance 😀😀

We loved being part of @beatlesstory Peace and Love event to celebrate Ringo Starr’s 86th Birthday at the Albert Dock! 🎸

The crowd were joined by the fab choir from Ringos old school @stsilasschool for a scouse singalong which has been streamed straight to Ringo himself 🎶

There’s so many fun workshops for the kids this summer at The Beatles Story - listen out to @clairesimmo16 on Sunday mornings 10am for more details or check out the website 💙

Week Two Rehearsals – Our Crossing 🚢✨

The ship has been made and arrived, our journey continues.

We are now in week two of rehearsals for Our Crossing, a multimedia performance created to celebrate and remember the Windrush Pioneers. Through dance, storytelling, music and film, we are exploring the courage, resilience, determination and SKILLS of those who journeyed from the Caribbean to the UK and helped shape modern Britain. Co- creation rocks @whisperedtales @hannahlowepoet @ithaliaj

As we prepare to share this special performance with three local schools on Windrush Day, 22nd June, at The Black-E- which will launch our Liverpool primary school tour! Interested we have a few free slots left in July before the end of term break! This show honours the sacrifices, achievements and lasting legacy of the Windrush Generation.

A huge thank you to our funders, @nearneighbours and the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, for making this project possible, and to our creative home, @theblack_e_liv , for supporting us as we bring these important stories to life.

We cannot wait to share this journey with our audiences and celebrate the pioneers whose legacy continues to inspire future generations.

#ThrowbackThursday ✨

Let’s take it all the way back to Thursday 3rd November 2016… a date that might not seem huge to most, but for us at Mersey Mavericks, it was the beginning of something special.

This was the very first time Coach John stepped into @stsilasschool to deliver a session — and honestly, we had no idea just how big that moment would become.

St. Silas was one of many schools we began working with back in 2016 — but what makes this one extra special is what came next…

⏩ Nearly a decade later, and Coach John is still there.

📅 Thousands of sessions delivered
👧👦 Countless children engaged
💭 So many unforgettable memories made

From those early sessions in the school hall to seeing familiar faces join our Mini Mavericks sessions and even go on to represent our teams — this is exactly what Mersey Mavericks is all about. 🔥

It’s about building those strong connections in primary schools and supporting young players every step of the way as they grow through our programme.

We’re incredibly proud of the journey with St. Silas — the staff, the pupils, the energy, the smiles… and yes, even the occasional Easter bonnet judging duties 🐣🎩 (which Coach John definitely doesn’t take lightly 😄).

This is more than basketball. This is community. 💜

“It takes a village to raise a child, and at St Silas Church of England Primary School, that village needs a fantastic Site Manager! 🏫✨

We are looking for a ‘Guardian of the School Gates’—someone who is a natural problem solver, a safety-first thinker, and someone who takes pride in creating a space where our pupils can truly flourish. 🌈

Think you have the ‘big energy’ we need? We’d love to hear from you!

Day 2: The Power of a Promise

Today, we look back at a timeless story of hope. Long ago, the writings of the prophet Isaiah spoke of a future where people walking in darkness would see a “great light” (Isaiah 9:2).

The anticipation of something great is what drives us all. The prophecy foretold a remarkable leader, often called the “Prince of Peace,” whose arrival would fundamentally shift the world’s story.

What are you anticipating or hoping for in your own life or community right now?
