💊 DIVA DOWN 🍷 the opening look from my September runway show with @antixartfest.

Early on, I knew that I wanted the introductory look to honor one of my all-time favorite works, Tracy Emin’s 1998 Sculpture “My Bed.” A theatrical depiction of a messy bed with surrounding debris that convey themes of depression and sexual desire.

In reimagining this idea into a wearable form, the incomparable @miss.reneeeee constructed a four-foot-wide circular foam form base to build the depression bed upon. This became a months-long undertaking of trial, error, and Home Depot trips leading up to the final show. And as hard as it was to make, it was equally as hard to transport and move around in! Im so proud of this piece. thank you for bringing it to life with me Renee !
