During extensive travels, Dani Alexander was “exposed to the beauty and craft of designed and vernacular landscapes across the globe.” That experience, together with an innate love of living things, led her to pursue a career as a landscape architect. “I developed a deep appreciation for the genius loci, or spirit, of each place,” she recounts.

Alexander founded @studio.aka in 2019. She and her team work with clients to formulate the best plan for their needs, then guide them through the design and construction phases of a project.

As the year comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the work, partnerships, and people who made it all possible!

From our clients and contractors to our consultants and incredible staff, everything we do is shaped by collaboration. More reflections (and a look ahead) in our end-of-year newsletter. Linked in bio.

So much gratitude to @landarchmag and @elaine.stokes for featuring COLLAB in the July issue. We embarked on this journey with open minds and hungry hearts searching for a wiser way to balance work and life. We found so much more. Let the adventure continue!

We are stronger together. Today we honor the powerhouse women who encourage and inspire us, especially our fellow entrepreneurs and girl bosses building their dreams, and to those women who spur us on with their wisdom and tenacity - our mothers, sisters, friends, and mentors. We appreciate and admire you today and everyday.

Happy Valentine's Day, founders! Impact, freedom, community, storytelling, innovation — these are just a few of the words our community used to describe what they love about entrepreneurship.🤍

Grateful for an amazing few days reconnecting with professors, mentors, colleagues and friends - coupled with some inspiring education sessions on what #womenleaders bring to the table, ecological restoration in a time of climate change and decarbonizing the design and construction process to name a few. Already looking forward to #ASLA2025
