Man, time feels like it’s moving so fast 🥲 there’s so much I’ve been wanting to share & just haven’t been able to catch my breath to do so lol

The epic fashion show journey I went on with my girl @izzthisthingon for the last few months is still very top of mind for me.

The pictures and videos from the photoshoot and the show itself have been rolling in, and I’ve just felt completely floored by it all 🥹

THAT’S ME YOU GUYS & THAT DRESS & THOSE HARNESSES WERE MADE WITH MY GIRL’S BARE HANDS…

Like what?!? 👏

I told her I was going to document the whole journey b/c we know that’s what it’s all about & I’m so glad I did. Swipe to see it all unfold ❤️

From her original vision sketched out & fittings & model walking classes to me trying her masterpiece on for the first time & rocking it at the @studio93md show in front of hundreds of people.

This is what it’s about, you guys. We have this one life to go all out! So why not go all out?

That one thing you’ve felt in your heart that you wanna do, learn, or be…just send it. Just say yes! 🙂‍↕️ I promise it will open doors that you never even knew were there to begin with & ultimately will lead you to exactly where you’re meant to go.

Speaking from experience 🫶

I’m just so proud of you dude. You inspire me so damn much. I can’t thank you enough for this opportunity to try something new & support you along the way.

And I can’t WAIT to go round 2 with you in the spring with your new designs + 5 other baddies rockin it with me 🤸

Love you to the moon, my friend. Keep shining.

MONSTRIFICATION | COPPER
Who constructs what a body is?
This look was inspired by the myth of Arachne, ‘Frankenstein’ by Mary Shelly, and ‘A Cyborg Manifesto’ by Donna Haraway. With these texts we get a lot of exploration in what defines a body, who constructs it, and discussions around the autonomy of that construction. I chose copper for this look because it is the metal most used in construction- for homes, electronics, and tools. It changes and conducts and shows its age.

This one had some challenges lol. If I get to go back I do want to redo the egg structure to make it a little more solid. However I wanted something light and collapsible so it worked well for this. Chelsea was a trooper with this one lol.

The dress is a curtain I got from savers, most likely a polyester tweed. Then a pleated synthetic fabric and moldable copper wire for the egg.

📸 @onward_photos POEM “They wanted the smoke” Era 2022

My get back is different, they’ll never see it comin

Im grateful to have protection so heavily
So unearthly So angelically
Especially when it comes to my safety.. nah
They don’t play about me
So I don’t have to get you back recklessly..
my get back is different

I used to say I’d never fight fire with fire
But, some play dirty
With.. no morals.. no empathy..

I’m sure, a little sympathy
Might be the remedy
But..
They don’t know about that

Nah, my get back is different.
