Like summer itself, Splash embraces spontaneity, experimentation, and joy. It encourages us to jump in, to make our mark, and to discover unexpected connections between images, ideas, and experiences.

Whether through colour, memory, humour, emotion, or acts of creative daring, each artist brings their own interpretation to Splash, reminding us that even the smallest gesture can create waves and that every splash leaves something behind.

The show will feature some 90 works by 41 artists all of which celebrate the vibrancy, colour and joy of summer.

I’m absolutely delighted to be co-curating SPLASH!, ArtCan’s vibrant summer exhibition celebrating the power, beauty and symbolism of water through contemporary art.

Bringing this exhibition together alongside @brianharrisarts and @jlmaxcyart has been an inspiring journey, and I can’t wait to share the incredible work of our exhibiting artists.

From crashing waves to quiet reflections, SPLASH! explores movement, emotion and transformation just in time for summer.

✨ Zen Enso Painting Workshop ✨
🗓️ May 9, 2026
🕐 1:15pm – 5:30pm

Join us for a special afternoon of mindful movement and creative expression with artist Adele (@studiocloony).

We’ll begin with gentle Qigong and Tai Chi-inspired warm-ups, followed by walking and standing meditation — settling into presence through body, breath, and awareness.

From this grounded place, we’ll move into the practice of Zen Enso painting: using brush and ink to express a single moment of awareness through the circle.

Traditionally, the enso reflects the artist’s breath and state of mind — each one completely unique.

🎨 What to expect:
• Gentle movement and meditation practices
• Introduction to Zen Enso painting
• Time to create your own ink circle artworks
• A calm, supportive and creative space

All materials are provided — just bring yourself and wear something comfortable.
No experience needed.

Adele Cloony (@studiocloony) is a London-based artist trained in both visual and internal martial arts. Her work is deeply influenced by Taoist and Buddhist philosophy, exploring the connection between movement, meditation, and creative expression.

Luminous is our latest @artcanorg exhibition launching on the 20th April and is a three month residency show curated by Kate Enters.

Luminous brings together a dynamic collection of contemporary works by ArtCan artists, exploring light not only as a visual phenomenon, but as a conceptual and emotional force. Across painting, photography, and mixed media, the exhibition will reflect on how light shapes perception, atmosphere, and memory—particularly within the heightened sensory experience of summer.

For World Mental Health Day, Thursday October the 10th, I would like to invite you to take 60 minutes of your day to create an elementary piece of art, for your mental well-being 🙏🏿

The exercise involves colouring with 8 colours an A3 black & white sketch I've created 🎨

Mindfulness Colouring asks us to focus on how we choose and apply colour in a design to bring our awareness to the present moment 🖼️ This process is similar to meditation, we let go of any thoughts about tomorrow or yesterday, which allows us to detach from work mode and Take the Time to be Kind to our Minds 👍🏿🧠
