Alyson Hewus, Natalie Haniff, and Evelyn Mota represented MAED. Collective at Design Week Mexico 2026, taking in showroom visits, exhibitions, and the city’s incredible culture and architecture. From bold uses of colour to thoughtful explorations of lighting and materials, Design House was no shortage of inspiration and new ideas to bring back to the studio.

Thank you to @designweekmex for hosting, and to all the designers and teams who welcomed us into their spaces and shared their work and expertise.

P.S. Swipe to the end for one of our favourite locals. 🐈

Can in a New Finish | Presented during Design Week México at the davidpompa showroom in Mexico City, Can in Barro Amatenango explores the collection through a lighter, more earthy expression.
Developed in collaboration with @1050grados and the master craftswomen of Amatenango del Valle, the pieces feature a hand-applied coating made from locally sourced earth pigments | The subtle movement of the artisan’s brush remains visible across each surface, celebrating the connection between earth, craftsmanship and everyday life, while honouring an ancestral ceramic tradition | @studiodavidpompa | #legiodk

The kitchen was planned around more than just cooking.

In a home where family gathers often, the kitchen becomes a place for much more than preparing meals. Coffee, quick breakfasts, snacks and conversations all become part of its everyday use.

Rather than making everything happen in one place, we gave these smaller routines their own pockets within the kitchen.

Everyone can be doing something different, but still be together.
