ULTRAORDINARY 3/3. In collaboration with Studio Dogtooth and Studio Takai, Simon Breynaert developed the visual language of their switches and outlets called: ULTRAORDINARY within a renovation context.

Through image, the work is framed beyond its functional role, positioning switches and outlets as spatial elements within the interior.

In the context of a renovation project led by Studio Tikai, Dogtooth and Tikai joined forces to develop a range of switches and outlets titled ULTRAORDINARY for interior design. The pieces are an exploration of normative infrastructural elements, glitches as an ornamental gesture and ergonomic relation.
It is an exploration of how fractures can become an architectural gesture.
The work features 9 different pieces for internal or external electrical installations in vibrated aluminum, PETG printed cases and domotic electronics.
Made to order for interior design inquiries.

SELECTION OF YOUNG TALENTS BADAFF 2026: @lanabolk @jakobvanklinken @louise_covillas @bnjmnsch @elviramulkay @maartje_stapel @koolkaracha @jonghoo.jeong @jakobvanklinken @luciee_brand @letokeunen @studiodogtooth @hadrien_loumaye la_soldadera @augustelouiscarels

Here is a selection of the young talents chosen by the curators @thomasdeben @charlottejonckheer for the new edition of BADAFF. The fair needs to be an opportunity to discover emerging voices from the art and design scene. BADAFF aims to bring together young artists, established galleries, and collectible design pieces to create a relevant and dynamic mix. Congratulations to all young talents and thank you for everyone who participated. It’s heartwarming to see how much talent is growing in Ghent.

This year, the young talents will not have a separate section. Instead, they will be integrated among the galleries, artists, and makers throughout the fair, reflecting more closely the spirit and intentions of BADAFF.

Looking back on a wonderful first edition of my exhibition (not a fair as some tended to say!) @forwardfurniture_club curated for @dutchdesignweek and powered by the very best @slushb @jelle_________________________ @laragodoff @evaajoosten with a stunning scenography by @dingobongi and many more and all this thanks to @jeroen_yuh_roon who invited me.

Thanks to the 90 designers who said yes to the show. 2000 square meters to fill is not nothing. We brought all forms of signature and collectable furniture, present and future.

Thanks to @stichtingstokroos for their precious support. And to @decaaieindhoven for letting us use one last time this amazing venue.

Biggest thanks to @titiahahnephoto for the unbelievably great photos!
