Our hearts are so full.

We launched our magazine just four months ago. We’ve now had more than 500 art and manuscript submissions, and we’ve signed (& paid!) more than 100 writers and artists. What’s more, we’ve begun building a trustworthy and kind community centered around literature and art… Thank you for being a part of our journey. This is only the beginning!

We are delighted to announce our next Pushcart nominee, “In the Red Zone,” by Cheryl Dumesnil.

Dumesnil's personal essay accomplishes what great prose has the potential to: reveal an experience, a moment, a memory that is intensely personal to the writer, but that opens itself up to the reader, inviting them to live through this lens for the brief time that the words afford. Dumesnil's piece is a masterclass in revealing the heart of friendship, love, and hope.

Congratulations, Cheryl. We love you and your words.

“In the Red Zone” is available to read and purchase on our website and features original artwork by Ellery Harkness.

Our next featured piece to read and purchase is the second poem by Sandra Kolankiewicz, "Now That the Ground,” in which we, as readers, are offered fragments of conversation with a loved one who has been removed from society, but not from memory.

Kolankiewicz writes, "You are grateful for my note, you say, and the photograph of my mother the year you met her, tucked inside the card like a present I hoped would not confuse and lead you down a twisted path of memory to nowhere”

Sandra Kolankiewicz's poems have been accepted at Fortnightly Review, Galway Review, The Healing Muse, New World Writing and Appalachian Review. She is the author of Turning Inside Out, The Way You Will Go and Lost in Transition.

"Now That the Ground" also features original artwork by Ellery Harkness and is available at niftylit.io and for purchase on OpenSea.
