I’ve spent my whole life chasing oceans.

Every trip, every choice, every flight I ever booked, some part of me was always looking for the sea.

And for years, I resisted creating here, in Ottawa. I kept thinking the real magic was somewhere else — some coastline, some far-off blue water I hadn’t discovered yet.

But the truth is, the healing in these sessions was never about the location. It’s about what happens to a woman the moment she stops overthinking and lets herself be held by the water.

I’ve watched it happen dozens of times now. There’s a moment, every single time, where I can see she’s still worried about how it will all unfold, and then something shifts.

She softens. Opens. Suddenly there’s space for laughter, for tears, for whatever’s actually alive in her that day — grief, radiance, sexy energy, all of it. And she comes out of the water glowing in a way that has nothing to do with lighting or the perfect poses.

That’s why I stopped waiting for a coastline and started creating this in my own hometown instead.

For one day, we get to teleport my community to the tropics. There’s nothing else like this in Canada.

None of this happens without @liztheriault . We met years ago and knew within 30 seconds we had to know each other.

We’ve built something rare together: total honesty, safety, integrity, and warmth, the kind of partnership where the work just flows.

This home, the one you’ll see in our photos — she designed herself. Every detail! People’s jaws drop when they arrive. (Mine does every time haha). They can’t believe this is where the sessions happen.

Why Now?

She carried her baby surrounded by water 💛

@alayshahaha joined us for her first maternity session and discovered something she hadn’t expected: a connection to her body and her baby that felt almost impossible to put into words.

Submerged and weightless, she moved through the water while her baby rested within her. Two bodies held, protected, and transformed by water.

She told us she’ll cherish these images for the rest of her life. Immortalizing this body, this transformation, and this exact journey of becoming a mother.

This space is dedicated to sharing my art, my travels and all the life lessons along the way.

My print shop opens on December 21st at 10am EST.

I love to follow the rhythm of nature. Winter Solstice is just around the corner and as the cold moves in, it’s an opportunity for us to slow our pace, offer more presence to self and others, let things fall away naturally and with ease — rest, connect with your loved ones, sip all the warm beverages and bundle up in your finest wool knits to survive.

Recently I’ve been reflecting on the lessons surrounding when things don’t work out the way we’d like. A shift in perspective after leaning into the associating emotions and feeling them as deeply as needed, is to consider it a blessing that you are able to pivot and redirect your energy and life force to things that perhaps you might never would have had time for.

For me, the perceived loss of a “dream opportunity” allowed me the space and time to launch my print shop. I’ve been putting this off for 3 whole years because I thought it would take too much time.

C’est la vie

We can’t possibly be anywhere else than where we are right now…

Don’t fight it

What you resist, persists.

Here’s to a beautiful unfolding of stories between strangers and loved ones 🩷
