building a teak roof under a pragvad 🌳 east is harmonising with west in our @wildjaifarm wood shop & dare i say this team of mistrys are enjoying my transcription of @bakedchaplin ‘s detailed wood joinery drawings & welcoming our methods & tools for measuring-marking with precision, which @jahan.of.gir is very sweetly enforcing upon them. he should be getting us all t-shirts that say “kaat kona” by the end of this 🤓 safety glasses are still a no-go. is this what they call the middle path? 🪓🪚✏️📏

Effort is sexy— that’s the takeaway from our recent #StudioTour at @vitamin.studios with founder @arjundoshi An intimate and exclusive look into the everyday workings of Vitamin Studios revealed the intricacy of moodboards, the importance of strong client relationships, and that deep craft remains truly valuable in an increasingly AI world. Thanks to our creative community who always turn up with their curiosity dialled up, and our partners @tribe_kombucha for keeping us refreshed through the session! #praxis #praxisarts #upskill #workshop

Soleil Home | Den Combining classic European details with modern design, this home is the perfect first haven for a couple. Warm and inviting, it’s ideal for hosting friends or enjoying cozy movie nights. The openable partitions create a versatile space, expanding the living room and fostering intimate conversations for those who love to cook. The den, opposite the kitchen, can open up to serve as extra living space for larger gatherings. These flexible partitions ensure connection and togetherness, making this home a true sanctuary of shared joy and comfort. We designed the den to be the perfect cozy room for movie nights with an uber-cushy sectional couch @blue_loft along with a fluted marble end table @allthingsmarbled . Flanked with a rug from a forever favourite @jaipurrugs , we’ve used oak panelling for the TV wall to add warmth. This home isn’t just a living space; it’s a sanctuary of shared joy and comfort. Questioning Craft, a blog by Shamika Desai @bakedchaplin talks about the relevance of craft in a world that is moving towards being completely digital and virtual. She writes - The discourse around craft has always been around saving and reviving it, which often leads to a constant tussle between the handmade and the machine-made. The machine gets looked down on for mass producing and homogenising everything we use and inhabit. The words ‘crafted’, ‘artisanal’ and ‘handmade’ start getting used very loosely and superficially. We begin to romanticize the handmade, without understanding why we give it so much value. To make craft relevant for today, the very definition of craft needs to be questioned.
