Making a pot from scratch.
I use a firing method called raku firing, it is experimental, unpredictable, and wild.
After firing, the pot becomes very breathable, which makes it perfect for plants.

Centuries before glaze, potters learned how to make clay shine on its own. This timeless technique is slow, meditative, and still alive today — and I can’t get enough of it.

Did you know you can use clay as an underglaze. Here he powders the clay and turns it into a slip which he burnished (rubbing the glass rod on the surface) this makes teh clay shiny.
