One of a New York owl much loved by his community and the other about an Australian bat also much loved by many but feared by some. So, a few weeks ago I met a woman (@studionishida) in Central Park and she asked if she could create a drawing using one of my photos. I said “absolutely,” and thought nothing more about it. Until yesterday, when I ran into her again and she shared her work. I was so impressed and grateful. ❤️❤️❤️

Fun-sized Mr Rogers, is all done, happy to have met some monsters, and is now ready to make his way across the country to his new neighborhood, New York! He's going to meet up with Martha and Bob Ross and a Ghost Kitty, and there are already Halloween plans! What a fantastic neighborhood to live in!

I'm trying to write, while catching my breath, because I've just finished a frantic happy dance, a dysfunctional choreography that involved a lot of jumping... Fortunately, I'm alone and no one saw it!... This piece is now mine, but it's NOT MY WORK! I received it today, as a gift, from one of YOU... A special lady, who lives in the capital of the World, who enjoys long walks in Central Park, who's an excellent photographer, who's a brilliant observer of the magical curiosities that make life so interesting and someone who's an occasional wearer of awkward masks in public places... long before masks become a fashion trend... not because she needs hiding behind a mask, but, perhaps unconsciously, she loves to make people smile. Martha @studionishida explained that this is the only cat she ever embroidered and she felt it should belong to me... and I humbly agree, because, dear Martha, you wouldn't believe, but my all being is smiling... my soul is laughing, just as much as in the day I saw you, wearing a crow suit, playing around in the park, reminding me that we could/should be as curious and playful as the child we used to be... making me believe there's magic everywhere, specially in kind inspiring people like you!
