Please welcome to the pod the incredibly talented Anders Talvik aka @studiootherwise aka the illustrator of @stillherestillqueernowwhat
Anders and his work are utterly wonderful.

In this conversation we explore the creative process, identity, faith, and the playful side of art. We talk about how creativity is a personal journey, the influence of past experiences, and the importance of playing and experimenting in art.

And are we ever truly gay enough?

“It’s easier to imagine the end of the world than it is to imagine the end of capitalism.”

The world as we know it must end.
Must dissolve and collapse.

So we can collectively step out of a system built to serve the few.

A system that keeps people tired.
A system that rewards toxic productivity.
A system that was never intended for people to thrive.

Step away.
Let’s see what happens.

Sit still.
Achieve.
Produce.
Compete.
Earn your worth.

Capitalism doesn’t just want your labour it consumes your identity.

👽 ONBOARDING 👽

When the world feels loud.

And the content conveyor belt keeps force-feeding clickbait rage bait.
Rewarding speed, self-optimisation and performance.
In a system engineered for distraction.

Choose to pay attention.

This magazine is a call to presence.
This magazine is a call for compassion.
This magazine asks why.

We interrogate ego, identity, beauty and attachment.
Not to erase them, but to loosen their grip.

Because the ego thrives on speed and separation.
And presence dissolves both.

This magazine is not here to tell you who to be.
It is an invitation to be here.
To look clearly.
To feel yourself as part of it all.

Attention is radical.

I’m excited about this year. realized in december that my setup for 2026 is exactly what i wanted to achieve when i started freelancing with no plan and zero clients in the pipeline back in 2018: time for stuff that isn’t work. and i don’t want to decide or announce what that time will be used for, because i just don’t know. but i’m glad it’s what i’m working with this year.

The Wake At The Welly could have been a sad affair but just look at those smiles. Happy, hopeful humans. Wonderful people who want to see @stillherestillqueernowwhat come into the world.

Thank you to EVERYONE who came, including those who escaped without me selfie-ing them. I’ll get you next time! Those who sent well wishes, they were felt and you were missed.

We will be together again 🌈
