After what feels like a long hiatus of having to pause from workouts, I needed to step back in the game the right way. And what better way to hold myself accountable than by getting my a$$ handed to me by my very first trainer @mr.justinwatson at @studiophysique 🤣💪🏽🔥

Definitely put in the work, but also took into account I still have more work to shoot so I can’t burn out my body. I can’t be crazy sore after Day 1. That’s what we have to remember when we are looking to create a routine. Steady progressions. I picked the appropriate weights to move with intent. And Justin kept checking back on me to make sure EVERY rep counted 😅 Quality always. No better way to start the day than taking care of yourself! Don’t forget to MOVE today!

This time I created a movement list.choose 1 or 4 movements from the list that you can commit to(and do 50 reps of) for 20 days straight. Tag a friend that should be joining the Grind TOUR. Lets all be great today, and start the month of March off right 💪🏾💪🏾

#tbt to when I made the decision to not wait for others to create what I envisioned. When I started taking TV hosting classes, for the first time I realized I felt lost. I didn’t understand what my personal brand could be because I felt spread out in so many places. I had my masters degree, I played volleyball, I was a bartender, wedding planner, I modeled, loved fitness but wasn’t a certified trainer but wasn’t amazing in one particular area. I just felt average. I finally understood what my mom said when she said I could be the jack of all trades, but the master of none. It was the first time I had to look at myself and try to understand all my actions and what got me to this point. I was trying to make sense out of all my experiences and find the value of how it made me who I am...that was when Fitness Affair was born. I knew the most important base of all my experiences was that I loved trying all things fitness. The most organic thing for me to do at that time, in my mind, since I wasn’t a certified trainer was to encourage others to just let themselves enjoy any movement and watch the results come. It all started with an idea. I made a plan, used the resources I had and am forever grateful to my amazing and willing friends who helped me bring this dream to fruition. I just went for the gold and even had some great sponsors! I started with a camera with horrible quality as you can see in the last photo haha...but I love to see how it started and now here I am 3 years later as an actual fitness professional ready to share my passion again. Don’t look at what you don’t have or lack, embrace what you have presently. The moral of the story is to just go. Hard work beats talent, You will always learn, you will always get better...but you can’t get better if you don’t do anything. Find yourself a supportive group of friends and enjoy the journey. You never know what it could be the start of 💪🏽♥️
