Goodbye! 👋

After five years, my journey with Studio Pivote has come to an end.

I’m truly grateful for all the different experiences I’ve had and everything I’ve learned as a designer along the way.

I feel incredibly lucky to have worked with such wonderful people.

For now, I’m going to take some time for myself and enjoy a little break.

Thank you so much for everything.

Wishing everyone good health and happiness, and I’ll always be cheering you on in whatever comes next.

Goodbye! 👋

📌[Making of] Tastefully Yours / 당신의 맛

We’re excited to share the making of the title sequence for Tastefully Yours.

Our process began with reimagining “Jeongje,” the central restaurant setting in the drama, as a miniature world. The 3D environment was carefully designed to reflect the actual set and objects from the show. We paid close attention to lighting to capture the analog charm of miniatures and to match the warm tone of the story.

The sequence is built around the idea of a single day—moving from morning to night. We designed the lighting to reflect this time shift and to support the emotional arc of the narrative as it unfolded within the space.

Leading the story was the 2D character animation. Beyond just adding charm, we structured the storyline to express the evolving dynamic between two characters with contrasting personalities and backgrounds. The bold and exaggerated motions typical of 2D animation were key to capturing the playful energy and rhythm of a romantic comedy.

We put just as much thought into how these two visual styles—3D and 2D—could live together. By blending the two into one cohesive flow, we hoped to visually reflect the theme of “harmonizing relationships,” where differences are embraced and slowly merge into something greater together.
