October usually turns us toward the fire, the place we drift back to when it starts getting colder outside. Kids asking to light it, hungry for that autumn coziness.

Through the windows, the hydrangeas are still doing their magic, big and lush, a natural curtain that filters the light beautifully.

In the middle of our living room, there's a swing. Woollen rugs under bare feet, antique cabinets that belonged to the previous owners filled with books, Lego and Schleich animals.

October rustles, gold leaves, rain threading the glass. Inside the flames hum low and the house keeps us warm and safe while the seasons turn. A time to turn inward, light all the candles, read books and gather around the fire. Simple, warm things, home by heart.
