Now this is how I actually take my own photos.

No assistant, just a mannequin head for the lighting test, a 10-second timer, and running back and forth to the laptop.

1, 2, or 3—which frame we keeping?

SHEENA ROSE INC. FOUNDATION

At Sheena Rose Inc., we believe in investing in people and their ideas. This year, we supported five Caribbean creatives, each receiving a USD $500 / BDS $1,000 grant towards their creative development.

MELISSA HOWELL — RESEARCH & SYSTEMS
A Barbadian- Guyanese systems strategist and founder of Data Diasporas. Melissa’s grant supports research in Saint Lucia exploring Kwéyòl, memory, language and the relationship between communities and systems.

STEPHAN MARSHALL — PHOTOGRAPHY
A Barbadian photographer and previous recipient, Stephan’s grant supports SPANISH INSOMNIA, his upcoming debut solo photography exhibition.

ASHLEIGH “LEIGH” PHILLIPS — MUSIC & CREATIVE PRODUCTION
A Grenadian-Barbadian multidisciplinary creative working across music, songwriting, events and production. Leigh’s grant supports a new visual identity ahead of her 2027 projects.

SIMON PIPE — MUSIC & SOUND
A Barbadian musician and composer. Simon’s grant supported research in Dominica for Quiet Path and Breathing In Bath, exploring music, meditation, sound and the natural environment.

TRINITY ROSE — FASHION & FILM
An award-winning Barbadian designer and filmmaker. Trinity’s grant supported her participation in the 2026 Sustainable Fashion of the World event in Panama, representing Barbados.

We are proud to support these five individuals and look forward to seeing their work develop. As Sheena Rose Inc. grows, we look forward to supporting more creatives across the Caribbean.

Do you actually need a wedding album?

The short answer is no... but honestly, it’s still the absolute best way to hold onto your memories.

Most of our photos live digitally these days, buried in cloud drives where they're easily forgotten. But there's something completely unmatched about a physical book. I still remember going to my great aunt's house around Christmas when I was younger—she’d pull out her photo albums, sharing the stories behind every single frame. That's the kind of magic digital files just can't replicate.

An album curates the very best highlights of your day so you can flip through those feelings whenever you want, years down the line.

We offer two custom styles to help bring your day to life: the Soursop Classic and the Soursop Deluxe with the classic starting at $600BBD

Hit play to hear the full story, and check out studiosoursop.com to see our album options. 🤍

I get asked a lot why I choose Fujifilm for my studio work when the industry is so heavily dominated by Sony, Canon, or Nikon.
For me, it really comes down to color science. There’s a natural warmth and depth to how Fuji handles skin tones and textures right out of the camera that feels difficult to replicate elsewhere. On paper, the X-H2 is a 40MP powerhouse—and it’s handled everything from commercial magazines to global art billboards with @sheenaroseinc . But its real value is how it changes your workflow.
A lot of modern systems do all the heavy lifting for you. The Fuji ecosystem forces you to slow down, think, and be fully intentional with your lighting and composition from the shoot to the final edit.
At the end of the day, the best camera isn't the one with the most hype. It's just the one that aligns with your creative process.

Why "Soursop"?

Because like the fruit, our work is local, it’s bold, and it’s got a bit of a kick.

Studio Soursop was born out of a simple realization: Barbados didn't need another "standard" photographer. We needed a place where you could get results without the "stiff" atmosphere.

This isn't just a session. It’s your new signature. 🥂

"You made me see myself in a different light." ✨📸

This is why we do what we do.

Many of our clients arrive at our Hastings studio feeling a little nervous or saying they think they "aren't photogenic." But that's hardly ever the case.

Hear Dana share her journey from being "a bit nervous" to seeing her strength in a whole new way.

The Soursop Experience:

⚡️ Professional makeup artistry that enhances, never masks.

⚡️ A high-energy studio vibe designed to help you loosen up.

⚡️ Expert direction that turns nerves into confidence.

Never worry about how you think you look. It's time to see yourself in a different light.

They say it takes a village… and now I understand why. 🤎✨

Through this journey, one lesson stood above the rest — the power of local support. Every message, every share, every sponsor, every person who believed in me… it mattered more than you know.

I want to publicly say thank you to all of my sponsors. I truly would not have achieved what I did without you. You didn’t just support me — you invested in a dream, in culture, in representation. An extra special thank you to my pageant team @bajepolly, @kaveh.devon, @queendannyele, @thebeautyrepublic.bb for wholeheartedly guiding me through this turbulent process with your unwavering support and dedication.💓

This is your reminder that your support can change someone’s life. 🇧🇧

Support your local talent. Support your creatives. Support your own.

Because when we pour into each other… we all rise.

Soft glam, but make it pageant ready 👑✨

This beauty is preparing for St. Maarten Carnival Caribbean Queen 2026, and we created a polished, camera-ready look that enhances her features without overpowering them.

Flawless skin, soft definition, and hair styled to frame the face perfectly — because stage, studio lights, and professional photos require a different level of glam.

This is the kind of soft glam I’m known for:
✨ Timeless
✨ Feminine
✨ Photo-ready from every angle
