Last night, we had the pleasure of welcoming guests to Mint Gallery for the private view opening of our exhibition Blueprint, exploring how traditional craft techniques can inspire bold, contemporary design.

As part of the evening, we collaborated with On&On Designs @onandondesigns to host a special talk with renowned Polish designer Tomek Rygalik @studiorygalik. The conversation offered an insight into his creative practice, design philosophy, and approach to contemporary making.

The evening also highlighted the work of Polish designers Tomek Rygalik, Mati Sipiora @mati.sipiora and Formsophy @formsophy, bringing together different perspectives on contemporary craft, material and design.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a wonderful opening evening, and to our collaborators and designers for making it such a memorable occasion.

Blueprint is presenting Polish designers in collaboration with On&On Designs and Creative Project Foundation @creativeprojectfoundation, as part of Mayfair Design District, with the support of the Polish Cultural Institute London.

The project was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland under the Creative Industries Institute’s Development of Creative Sectors programme.

Another design appreciation post! I discovered this piece by @pepijndegreef. For the ZETSE stool, he used the shape of an old milk funnel and reworked it in recycled plastic.

There’s some great thinking behind it, transforming something familiar and functional into something completely new, without losing what made the original form work in the first place.

It’s a good example of what draws me to playful design: clever concept aside, it’s just a fun piece to look at.
