Community. Connection.

That’s how I fill my cup.

I’m fortunate to find community in so many places - from our local businesses in Ocala to the incredible clients I get to work with on the daily.

But there’s something special about spending time with people who speak the same language of photography. The ones who understand the wins, the challenges, the need for a creative spark, and can often finish your sentence before you’ve found the words.

FOCUS, @fpp_fl annual conference, looked a little different for me this year. Instead of spending most of my time taking in all of the education, I had the privilege of serving behind the scenes on the conference committee. That meant helping wherever I was needed and watching months of planning come to life.

One of my favorite parts wasn’t any single class or event. It was watching photographers reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, learn something that reignited their passion, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and leave with full hearts and fresh inspiration.

What a reminder of why community matters! Thank you to everyone who poured their time, talent, and heart into making FOCUS such a meaningful experience. I already can’t wait for next year.

Three years at Focus Conference, and I leave more inspired every single time.

Continued education is something I genuinely prioritize. Being a Certified Professional Photographer through Professional Photographers of America is something I am incredibly proud of, but the learning does not stop once you earn the letters. If anything, it makes me even more committed to continuing to grow, refine my craft, and bring more to every client I serve.

This year’s conference was packed with incredible instructors, meaningful conversations, fresh perspectives, and the chance to learn from some literal giants in our industry.

A huge thank-you to:

And, of course, getting to experience it alongside my local guild buddies from Professional Photographers of Central Florida made it even better. There is just something about being surrounded by people who understand the work, the passion, the pressure, and the slightly unhinged amount of gear we all think we need. 😂

I’m heading home full of ideas, grateful for the conversations, and ready to put everything I learned into practice.

Growth does not happen by accident, and I never want to stop becoming better at the work I am so blessed to do.
