It’s time for our annual Illustration Portfolio Review event and after party! This is the one where we pull together art buyers and agents from the editorial, commercial and fine art worlds in order to help you find new clients.

It’s all happening on Sunday, November 8 at The East Room (50 Carroll Street) in Toronto. As always, this is an opportunity for intermediate and senior-level practitioners to show their work to a wide array of art buyers, creatives, and agents from the fine art, advertising and editorial sectors.

Come because you’re curious about transitioning into commercial work. Or you want to explore the world of fine art. Or you’re craving the creativity of editorial projects. Or maybe you just hate making cold calls. We feel you.

Making face-to-face connections can be wildly powerful, especially when our roster of reviewers is as badass as this one. We’ve worked hard to make sure all our reviewers have the power to pitch, hire, or represent illustrators. In other words, they’re all potential clients!

The list of reviewers is too long to include here but follow the link in our bio for all the details.

ALSO: while we discourage students and emerging illustrators from participating in the reviews, we do have ways for you to participate. You can always come to the after party! And we’ll be rolling out our Roundtable programming soon!

The road to Cannes is officially underway. 🇨🇦🦁

Last Monday we brought together Canada’s 2026 Young Lions winners for a half-day training bootcamp and lunch before they head to Cannes in a couple short weeks. From expert training and advice to connecting with their fellow winners, the day was all about helping our teams feel ready to take on the world stage.
We wrapped things up at Cluny Bistro in the Distillery District, raising a glass to our Young Lions, Canadian Cannes Lions awarding and shortlisting jurors, and the many partners, sponsors, trainers, co-chairs, and jury members who make it all possible.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped shape this year’s program. We’re incredibly proud to celebrate the incredible talent representing Canada in Cannes this year. 🍾✨

Conceptual photography is where my brain feels most at home. 🧠🏡

How do you transform big abstract ideas like the housing crisis and healthcare into a single image? Not to simplify the issue at hand, but to clarify it.

The process is part problem-solving, part visual mischief, and all held together by sheer chaos and espresso.

Conceptual photography is my favourite loophole. I don’t have to show reality as it is, I get to show what it means.
