Finally had a chance to go out and test my newly acquired @keks_camera KF-01 flash on my @ricoh_gr_official GR IV Monochrome. I’m not great with using flash (yet, or maybe I never will be, we will see), but I really enjoy this flash and the outcomes I can get. Here’s a bunch of portraits of fellow Guap Walk people and other random people, objects, etc. #ricohgrivmonochrome #kekskf01

The Ricoh GR IV Monochrome review:
Here’s my first two weeks of the first 200+ images review. I’m not one to get technical and talk specs at all, so don’t expect that here. I really enjoy the feel of the camera. The handling feels nice, weight is good, the build feels solid and sturdy, and it doesn’t make my neck extensors get a workout wearing it around on my neck all day. Using an optical VF with it works great, but not necessary at all really. I just use it if hard to see the screen when it’s sunny or just for the vibes and want to look cool. The battery life is decent to me especially since I don’t shoot constantly and don’t use continuous/burst mode ever. It doesn’t overheat unless using it continuously for a long period of time. But it isn’t that bad even if it does get a bit warm to the touch. The monochrome profiles are a lot of fun. I’m primarily using the Solid, Grainy, and Soft profiles with slight tweaks to each one. The snap focus is so handy and makes shooting a breeze and a lot of fun. The high ISO available is nice for sure and I find the mp and quality of images to be very crisp even when cropped. Speaking of cropping, I absolutely love the ability to set a function button to be able to choose between the main 28 mm focal length and then either a 35 or 50 mm length in camera. Basically a zoom in a sense on a prime lens camera. Doesn’t ruin the quality doing so at all. So here’s my simple conclusion for the camera: do I think the monochrome sensor is better than a color sensor and just making images monochrome or shooting B&W in camera with a color sensor? Nope. I enjoy that just as much. Do I feel the price is worth it? Depends. If you want a monochrome camera and really enjoy B&W and have wanted one, but not paying $5k+ for one- then yes, very worth it to me. It’s niché of course, but if you want a monochrome, this is a great choice to me. Will I get rid of this one as well in 3 months to a year’s time? This time- no. I do not plan to at all. I’ve always wanted a monochrome only camera so this is going to be a keepsake for me. A collector item as well as a greatly used camera. I hope you enjoyed my little review. #ricohgrivmonochrome #grsnaps
