Celebrating Anny Slater. Writer, director, producer and ‘on the side’ - she was a very handy IP lawyer.
Anny trusted me with her film The Adventures of Roman in 2001. I played her Roman and choreographed the film apart from the wonderful Wishful Creek dance co choreographed with Taryn Laleen. Anny was a wonderfully quirky writer, director and trailblazer and will be missed. Vale Anny.

Here at D2N, we love it when people tell us that it can’t be done... There are lots of different motivators or drivers that lead to innovation. Some are financial, some are technical, and some...well they are from the seat of your pants. The type of stuff that wakes you up, gets you up and keeps you going. These ones have a key word at their core; Passion!

So with a day or so left before Xmas we offer this little snippet on our how our business brains works.

1: Success doesn’t always mean coming first.
2: Coming last is sometimes the best thing that can ever happen.
3: When you do come first, be humble, yet celebrate and LEARN!
4: Know your ‘why’...
5: Lastly, ask lots of questions and listen actively... #2020vision #d2n #eyesforward #innovation #hytera #passion #entrepreneur #pioneering #behumble #communications #pnc380 #twowayradio #merryxmas2019 @hytera.global

This week D2N travelled to Melbourne to assist the team at Crown Casino and Soundcorp in fine tuning their Shure ULXD wireless system. Crown utilise an extensive distributed antenna system (DAS) to provide wireless microphone coverage across all the gaming spaces and VIP areas throughout the Casino complex. D2N had originally supplied Soundcorp with multiple chains of Rf Optic - Rf over Fibre product, but was called in to really finesse the overall system performance by balancing the gain structure across the various Rf Venue combiners, Shure multi-couplers, and Rf Optic Rf over Fibre links. In the end we were able to reduce the overall system noise floor by approx. 25db resulting in a huge improvement in coverage and Rf performance.
Our MD goes on to say, ‘one of the most common misconceptions about Rf is that more is better, whereas in my experience more often than not, less is more’. Understanding Rf theory, equipment performance and how the kit performs in the real world is something D2N has literally decades of experience in. If your wireless audio system is under performing or suffering from interference, drop us an email or give us a call to have an obligation free chat about how can solve your Rf challenges.
Thanks goes out to the Soundcorp team for engaging us in this project, also the Crown AV team who were a pleasure to work with.
