POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A little glimpse of a weekend that reignited something in me…
I arrived at the Gold Gong Gathering not realising how much I needed it. Somewhere along the way, without really noticing, I had become comfortable in my own way of working with the gongs. I still loved them, still felt deeply connected to them but I think somehow on my way I had stopped asking: What else is possible?
This weekend reminded me.
I listened, watched, played, experimented, talked to people whose work I have known through books, the internet and stories for years; people I deeply respect for what they have brought into the world of gongs, whether through creating these extraordinary instruments or mastering the art of playing them.
Suddenly I could see again just how vast this world is and how much there is still to explore, experience and feel.

But the most beautiful part of the whole weekend was the people. So many wonderfully authentic humans. No need to impress, no need to prove anything, just a shared love, curiosity and passion for sound.

I came home completely full of energy, inspiration, ideas and gratitude and yet, strangely...the more I received, the hungrier I became - to learn more, to experiment, to listen differently, to play differently, to keep growing.

A heartfelt thank you to Shion @healing_and_sound and Bear @blovesacredsound for creating and holding such a special gathering and to every beautiful soul who came and became part of it. Big thanks for amazing food for body and soul made by @stuhamptonsound.

Creating high-vibrational, raw plant-based goodness that nourishes on every level 💫💕🧬

Real food that feeds the body, lights up the senses, & carries a little bit of love in every bite! 👌🏻🥰🤍🌸✨

This cacao dreamcake with raspberry & choc fudge & wild raspberry medicine flower also contained some etherium pink for the heart chakra 💖 🪄💫 Ordered with love, for a groovy guy 🎂 ✌🏻

After a weekend of deep rest and connection, I’m reminded how powerful it is when women come together. ❤️

When we step away from our everyday noise and into a restful environment, something softens.
We breathe more deeply, listen more closely, and remember what truly matters.

There’s laughter and tears, stories shared, silence held and those moments when we hold mirrors up for each other, we realise we’re not alone.
It's a way to return home to ourselves.

If your heart is calling for time out, stillness, and sisterhood, our next Wild Women Weekends...

The silence after a festival is sometimes unsettling for me which is strange because I am very comfortable in my own company and don’t usually chose to be around crowds of people, in fact I often avoid it.

This was my second visit to @thebigretreatfestival and was filled with opportunities to experience new things, meet new people and to learn.

A few of my personal highlights –

I experienced the practice of Kirtan for the first time and the energy was insane. Such beautiful sounds, high energy release and community.

I experienced restorative yoga with @alicefaulkneryoga which hit the spot and helped to release somatic tension.

I listen to a talk by Rich and Rox from @adhd_love_ and feel like I understand myself just a little better.

Keeping with the theme of ADHD, a talk by @gabrielletreanor ‘Quite ADHD’ where I learned about her journey as a midlife woman with ADHD and her Quiet ADHD club. I also learned about the @shelfhelp.club (A global self-help book club) which is right up my street!

Sound bath with @stuhamptonsound was pheromonal as always and so good I did this twice!

The Retirement Rebel @shuvonshuvoff is living my future lifestyle in her camper – I loved every minute of her talk which has inspired me to move towards my dream.

Cacao ceremony and ecstatic dance with @officiallulubw totally hit the spot and eating raw cacao a new experience! Dancing with my eyes closed was freeing and liberating.

But without doubt the two most meaningful experiences were meeting @josh_ffw and @rubywax I met Ruby last year but this year we spoke on a 1-1 about swimming, mental health and my own journey and briefly about Engaged Buddhism and maybe, just maybe we will get a swim together at some point in the future.

I have followed @josh_ffw socials for a while and his authenticity and personal journey speaks to me and sits close to my own in many ways. As a new breathwork coach myself, he is a great role model and inspiration. I experienced his trauma release breathwork sessions for myself and let’s just say, I still have some inner work to do!

💎 These sessions are small & intimate healing ceremonies, designed to bring you deep relaxation with sound & vibration.
It is through relaxation & altered brain states that you can access your own healing wellspring. Our groups are no more than 6-8 people. You will be guided on a journey with sound & tuned crystals, that will intuitively be placed around or (with permission) on the body. These sessions last approx 90 minutes. Afterwards there is plenty of time for you to relax & ground in cosy surrounds with refreshments including fresh spring water, herb teas & cacao treats.

£25 per person
Please message or email maesybrynretreat@yahoo.com to book your space!
