We honored and celebrated my mom’s life in a final workshop service with her Saturday. She most certainly was with us, in Christ. As Believers, we celebrate that to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord. We believe that her body will be resurrected whole and new when Christ returns. What a glorious day that will be!

She left us with so many memories that will make us laugh for years to come. In the meantime, she’s begun her life in eternity with loved ones who have gone before.

Thank you for your words of encouragement and condolence, your prayers, your presence, the cards, calls, flowers, meals, and remembrance.

Our family felt the love and support and we are so so grateful. That one small word, grateful, doesn’t seem like enough. I guess that’s why people often add so many words like “so so very…” to “grateful,” because it doesn’t seem to express the full weight of our gratitude. I understand that now.

Scroll through these photos and listen to the video of her talking about getting her brother-in-law on some guy in the nursing home who was “getting on her nerves.” 😳 The very next photo is of said brother-in-law who never offered to assault anyone on her behalf. I am his witness. 😂

She knew she was loved.

Farewell mom. Until we meet again, rest in heaven.
