Today I had the opportunity to sit down and talk with Council Member Lisa Kaplan @councilmemberlisakaplan about my Easter event…I’m gonna be honest… the grapevine had people telling me she was the reason my permit got denied. So instead of assuming or pointing fingers, I went and had a real conversation with her. Come to find out, she actually had nothing to do with the denial. Truth is, I’ve never really been into politics or government stuff. I’m just a kid from the hood with a big heart who loves doing things for the community and especially for the kids. That’s always been my mission…But today showed me something bigger Sometimes when things look dark, that just means the light is getting ready to shine. Every setback, every conversation, every moment happens for a reason. I never give up. I always try to find the positive in every negative situation. And today made me realize that this is bigger than just me. I never knew little ol’ me trying to do something good for the community could make this much noise or even reach the people in higher places…But if we want this Easter Festival for the kids to still happen, it’s going to take a village… it’s going to take ALL of Sacramento. So I’m asking everybody who sees this post:…If you’ve ever brought your kids to one of my events…If you’ve ever seen the smiles and joy these events bring…If you believe our kids deserve positive things in our community…

⬇️ PLEASE COMMENT BELOW ⬇️

Show your support. Tell them why this event matters. Your voices matter more than you know!!! It’s never too late. I truly believe the impossible can always become possible when the community stands together, And I want to sincerely thank @councilmemberlisakaplan Ms. Kaplan for taking the time to meet with me, listening with an open mind and a kind heart. I appreciate the conversation and look forward to hopefully partnering together for this event and future things that help uplift our community and our kids …#stunnachips #sacramento #lisakaplan #repost #comment

Thank you @stunna_chipss for making those kids smile today at @ardenfair ! It was fun watching this happen first hand, seeing how happy the kids were to catch the flying cash. Merry Christmas!

What. A. Year.

🤍 So incredibly thankful for this little life ive created and all the people I've met along the way:
💫 From fellow vendors who have turned into some of my absolute favorite people
💫 To the hosts that found locations & held space for me and all the rest of the makers and crafters and sellers out here
💫 My friends and family who sat in the 110 degree weather and listened to my countless rambles about who knows what
💫 And, of course, every single customer who ive been lucky enough to interact with. You truly made my year. There aren't enough words to express my gratitude for yall 🥹
.
I'm not crying.
.
Can NOT wait to see what next year has in store for Practically Magic Melts and can't wait to take all of you along for the ride. 🤍
