My goodies from @wisheepwool! I had such a great time wandering around all the booths and got so much design inspo! Definitely went over what I said I would get (I told myself I was only getting fiber and 2 skeins) but I love shopping my own stash! 🧶🪡🐑

Day 1 of @wi_sheep_wool 🐑

Wore my Prospect Tee by @toriknitsnyc , got to show off my Brain Tree shawl to @synapticstitches the designer herself 💜

Saw some baby lambs, found the literal black sheep of the family and, in a completely predictable turn of events, spent way too much money on more yarn.

Back at it tomorrow - I’ll be winding yarn for the @greatermilwaukeeknittingguild from 9–12 and then hanging out with my friends at @foxriverfibers .

Day 1 at DFW Fiber Fest Haul (feat. Labubu👹)! 🧶🛍️💳

Budget setting: Non-existent. 🫣💰🤑

Self-control: Lasted exactly one full lap of the market before complete collapse. 💁🏻‍♀️🧺🫡

Shopping strategy: Advanced tactical lurking near vendor booths because zero project plans were made. 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️👀

Return attendance: Am I coming back every single day this weekend? Absolutely, without a trace of remorse. 🙋🏻‍♀️🎟️✨

Snack protocol: Buying cookies every day I’m here. 🍪😋🤤

Never Have I Ever‼️
Knit a color work sock, but I knew the minute I saw this pattern from @summer.lee.knits that I had to at least buy it. (I’m sort of loving watching Safari Lives) 🐆🦁🐘🦛🦓🦒🐊
And then, what the heck, decided to give it a whirl and cast on last night with some leftover yarn from @stunningstring
I’m loving both, the pattern and the yarn! Now, I’m going to have a look at more fun color work socks to knit.

Hats!!

The King Salmon Hat has made it to its intended recipient and he loves it!

I love my Michigan hat from @stunningstring The yarn is sooo pretty 😍

And I was able to use leftovers from my @hanksyarningco advent calendar to make a floppy beanie!

Overlapping squares/colors. I purchased a lot of vibrant mohair/silks and alpaca/silks at Nash Yarn Fest last month because I wanted to marl mohair for this little vest. I added a lot of colors from my stash. Love how all the colors changed when they got mixed. I made 4-square color blocks that overlapped with other 4-square blocks of color holding 2 colors together throughout. #knitweardesign #colorblocking #marlingyarns #coloratiysbest
