Your body is not the problem.

Your proportions are.

If your outfits don’t feel right, it’s usually because:

– there’s no structure
– everything is the same fit
– nothing is balancing the silhouette

Good style is not about “better clothes.”

It’s about understanding your shape, your balance and your lines.

That’s what makes outfits feel intentional.

If you want a personalised breakdown of what actually works for you, start there.

You’ve got the jeans...

But are you wearing the right shoes?

One small swap can completely change how an outfit looks. The right shoe doesn’t just finish your outfit. It works with the shape of your jeans to create better balance, cleaner proportions and a more polished look.

Which jean style should we cover next?

Having great clothes isn’t enough. Knowing how to choose, combine and style them is what makes a wardrobe actually work.

Three things to focus on:
1 . Invest in the right basics
Look for the right cut, fit and versatility.
2 . Learn how to pair your pieces
A great wardrobe becomes much more useful when you know how to create outfits from it.
3 . Learn how to style them
Roll the sleeves. Add a belt. Layer. Change the accessories.

Small details can completely change an outfit.

Save this for your next wardrobe refresh.

The trousers are only half the outfit 👀

The right shoes can completely change how a trouser shape looks and feels.

Wide-leg? Think sleek.
Straight-leg? You have options.
Tapered? Let the shoe show.
Flared? A little height goes a long way.

The goal isn’t to follow a strict shoe rule. It’s to choose a shoe that works with the shape and hem of your trousers.

Save this for the next time you’re standing in front of your wardrobe wondering, “Which shoes?”

If you’re petite, jacket length can completely change your proportions.

A cropped jacket with a high waist can create a longer-looking leg line, while longer lengths can create more visual breaks.

It’s not about avoiding certain styles. It’s about understanding proportion and knowing what works for your frame.

Save this for your next outfit, and follow StaedterStyle for more practical styling tips.

Not sure what color to wear with your jeans?

Start with the wash👖

Light denim works beautifully with soft shades. Medium denim pairs easily with classic colors. Dark denim can handle richer, deeper tones.

The simple rule: the darker the denim, the richer you can go with color.

One of the easiest ways to build a more versatile wardrobe is to stop thinking in seasons.

Instead of packing away your summer favourites, ask yourself:
How could I style this for fall?

A jacket, a knit, a different shoe or a richer colour palette can completely change the look.

The goal isn’t more clothes. It’s more possibilities.

What summer piece will you keep wearing this season 🍂

If your wardrobe is full but you still feel like you have “nothing to wear,” adding more clothes probably isn’t the answer.

A closet detox helps you rediscover the pieces you already love, identify what’s no longer serving you, and shop with intention instead of impulse.

Research and styling experts consistently recommend starting with what you own before buying anything new because it leads to a wardrobe that’s easier to wear and maintain.

Our favourite tip?

Don’t replace everything.
Build around the pieces you genuinely enjoy wearing.

Capris don’t suit short women??
Not exactly.

It’s usually not the capris. It’s how they’re styled.

The right proportions can completely change how an outfit looks. A monochrome outfit, the right hem length, and a shoe that shows more of the ankle can instantly create a longer silhouette.

The difference between “nice outfit” and “that really suits you” often comes down to proportion.

✓ Your neckline
✓ Your earrings
✓ Your blazer length

Once these work with your features, getting dressed becomes much easier.
