Introducing The Summers 🤍 A fall wedding at Straits Chapel in Kohler, Wisconsin, with the kind of October day that kept us on our toes—in the best and windiest way possible. The wind was very determined to be part of the wedding day, but honestly? We worked with it. The veil flew, the dress moved, the trees showed off their fall color, and somehow it all made the photographs feel even more alive. The architecture at Straits Chapel, the beautiful fall landscape around Kohler, the soft florals, and these two together made this such a beautiful Wisconsin wedding to photograph. And one of my favorite things about photographing weddings in Kohler is that there is so much variety in such a small area. Beautiful architecture, natural landscapes, incredible light, and spaces that photograph beautifully in every season. I’ve been on the other side of this. This year, in fact. I’ve had consultations where I could tell pretty quickly that what someone wanted and what I’m known for weren’t really the same thing. And that doesn’t make either of us wrong—it just means I might not be the right artist for her. This isn’t shade. It’s your reminder to do your research beyond the pretty website, follower count and branding. Look at the actual work. Make sure you LOVE it.
