One of the things our team and I have always wanted to accomplish with @CLALax is making quality lacrosse more accessible to families across the Carolinas.

We have families driving 30 minutes to 90 minutes, sometimes even longer, just to get their kids to practice. And while I appreciate that commitment, my hope is that one day they won’t have to.

That’s why we’ve been working to build programs in different communities, from our local town teams like the Miners, Cardinals, Otters, Coyotes and Lakers to our travel programs with @CarolinaMinersLax, @TeamCarolinaLax and @StyleLaxCLA

The goal is to give every kid a place to start playing, continue developing and eventually compete at a higher level without families having to spend hours in the car every week.

Of course, there will always be players who want to travel farther for certain opportunities, and we’ll have options at that level too.

But I’d love for us to get to a point where families can find everything they need right in their own backyard.

Still plenty of work to do, but that’s what we’re building 📈

Today we continue to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the courage of the first responders and everyday Americans who answered in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

25 years later, we continue to honor their memory.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

I’m so excited to announce my commitment to the University of Virginia at Wise to play lacrosse and continue working toward my goal of becoming an occupational therapist!
First, I want to thank my parents for supporting me and helping me through the recruitment process. Without their love and support, I would never have made it to where I stand today! They have both pushed me to be the best version of myself both on and off the field. I’m thankful for all the things that went in to getting me to this point, driving me two hours away to practice multiple times a week, scheduling a great trainer to help me build strength, and supplying me with everything I could ever need in life. I also want to thank my sister Ava for being there and supporting me when times were hard.
Next, I want to thank all my friends and teammates who have supported and pushed me to be a better person both on and off the field. Playing lacrosse the past few years has been a major time commitment, and I thank you for standing by me even when I missed a lot of fun events. I truly appreciate you!!
I also want to thank my coaches at Charlotte Style, Charlotte Fury, and Saint Stephens High School. I started playing lacrosse much later than most players now at the collegiate level and your support and coaching allowed me to develop my game quickly.
Finally, I am so thankful for the support and patience that I received from Coach Dennehy and Coach Lexie at UVA Wise during my decision-making process. You are amazing coaches and I can’t wait to grow both as a player and as a person with your help. I am very thankful and blessed for this opportunity and I can’t wait to join the girls at UVA Wise. Go Cavaliers!!

Welcome Josh Hamilton to CLA ⚡️

We’re excited to introduce Josh Hamilton as our Director of Community Programming. Josh will help continue growing our Try Lax and Town Lax programmings across our North, Charlotte, and South communities while supporting free clinics, 3v3 StartLax, town rec teams, coaches, and families.

Josh has already been heavily involved in our South Charlotte programming for years, and as a Team Carolina parent, he understands the CLA experience from both the coaching and family side.
