This year has really beat me down, more than most have before. I realized pretty quickly that something had to change. I had to make a drastic shift in my life, if I didn’t, I’d continue to stagnate in Cincinnati.

I’m on a train as I post this, headed for NYC as a pit stop before I head to Asia. I’ve had to say goodbye to the home and life that I’ve spent the entirety of my adulthood building. As sad as it is to leave things behind and not know when you’ll return, I know I’ve got to make this change.

This is going to be my last post for a long while. My other (very private) instagram account is where I’ll be spending time in an effort to cut back. Follow me there @phenomenologistics

I’ll miss my friends, and seeing them around.

Ellie’s birthday, at Grace’s apartment.

Skylinn, DJing at the Mockbee.

Kobe and Susie at Lambda.

Oktoberfest, ran into Carli and friends.

I’ll miss my job, flipping burgers at the honky tonk.

I’ll miss my family. My nieces and nephews playing at my parent’s house.

God how I’ll miss Monday Night Jazz at the Lounge.

I’ll miss all the strange things in Cincinnati.

I’ll miss the film lab / studio I rent with some of my closest friends and peers.

I’ll miss the Northside Photowalks

I’ll miss people who aren’t even in Cincinnati right now, like Shiloh and Chandler.

Good Flying Birds landed in the UK yesterday on their first UK tour. They do shambolic noisy jangly guitar pop really well. I thought the band were a bit hardcore when I saw a bottle of wine and a bottle of whiskey on stage but halfway through the set Susie emptied out a bag of tambourines and shakers, grabbed the bottle of wine & jumped into the crowd. @goodflyingbirds

Tambourines shaking, wine flowing & bodies moshing. Great stuff. Will definitely see them if they come over again.
