An unconventional bassline, groovy and slightly off-kilter, carries all five minutes, and makes the song far easier to move to than its subject should allow. The refrain sounds like relief at finally being left alone, company for anyone who feels on the outside. From second album Friend World, out November 6. Darker than „Act Natural“, and the stronger single for it.

‘Such a fool’ music video out now.

You see that one kid going wild in the pit? He told me after the show that he came to our Birmingham town hall show back in 2013 when he was even more of a kid, and said “That show made me believe”, and that’s the best thing I’ve ever been told about swim deep - It’s all we’ve ever wanted to leave behind.

‘Such a Fool’ is about missing what’s right infront of your eyes, and if you’re constantly looking back you won’t appreciate what’s real. Your golden age might be right now….and you might have a few to come ≈

When there’s a party needed in your neighbourhood, who you gonna call? Well it turns out it’s us here at Dork, and last week we threw a hell of a late night ‘do with the Official Afterparty to the 2026 Independent Music Awards w/ @aim_uk. Of course.

Taking over the legendary @barflycamden, the great and the good headed over from the awards for a right ‘ol knees up. Scorching through a headline at, @feetband brought the fun upstairs with the very exciting @jofromschool opening up proceedings whilst downstairs ourselves and our friends at @subcatmusic spun late into the night. Like, very late.

Here’s the proof of what a night it was (by that we mean, the proof that we are allowed to share without getting someone in trouble).

We start tour on thursday in luvely Leeds. We thought it would be a great idea to let everyone choose our pre show playlist.

Last time we did this we walked on stage to the Vengaboys at our London show, what could go wrong? ≈
