✨Young Horse Training Tips — Part 2✨

Today with Sublime, we worked on the basics that every young horse should learn before they ever think about “real training.”

• Walking with you, not on you — teaching them to match your rhythm and respect your space

• Personal boundaries — a young horse that understands space becomes a safe, confident partner

• Picking up feet — this builds trust, balance, and prepares them to be calm and cooperative for the farrier

• Rewarding the right moments — use your voice, timing, and gentle pats to reinforce good behavior

• No treat‑based training at this stage — treats can make young horses pushy, mouthy, and confused about boundaries

These small lessons create the foundation for a lifetime of safe, respectful communication.

✨Young Horse Training Tips — Part 1✨

Here I am with Sublime, a beautiful 2‑year‑old Knabstrupper gelding, starting the journey where it matters most: patience, presence, and groundwork.

Young horses don’t need pressure , they need manners, clarity, and quiet consistency.

Every lesson at this age is about building trust, teaching boundaries, and helping them understand the world with confidence.

✨Forever the girl who loves horses more than anything✨

They’re the reason I’m so deeply passionate and committed to this sport.

My first love, my constant motivation, and the heartbeat behind every early morning, every long day, every dream I chase.

Everywhere I’ve trained around the world, they were my home. My safe place. The ones I could always connect with, even when everything else felt foreign.

I’m endlessly grateful for them, for their honesty, their trust , their presence. And I’m committed to giving them the best life possible while they’re under my care❤️

✨ Welcome Sublime ✨

Introducing @sublimestrides , the newest addition to my training program.

Seb is a two‑year‑old Knabstrupper gelding with a bright mind, sweet personality , and all the raw ingredients of a future champion.

This year, he’ll stay under my wing , learning the foundations of balance, boundaries, confidence, and connection before we begin formal training next season.

Young horses don’t need pressure; they need presence, patience, and someone who believes in who they can become.

Watching young horses grow into themselves is one of my greatest joys.
I love seeing them transform from curious babies into confident partners , not because they’re pushed, but because they’re cared for, understood, and supported every step of the way. When you give a young horse time, trust, and consistency, they show you just how extraordinary they can be.

Seb has a big journey ahead, and I’m honored to guide him through it.
Here’s to growth, to potential, and to believing in the champions they’re destined to become.✨
