Fearless Dread have made their mark on the 140/bass/dubstep scenes with a point to prove. Every release they've put out offers something great, whether it be on vinyl or self-released through their Bandcamp pages.

__________________________

Fearless Dread are a London-based dubstep duo made up of producers Sam (Arkwright) and Charlie (Chuckman). Emerging from the UK bass music scene, the pair bonded over a shared passion for classic DMZ-era dubstep, UK garage, and deep 140 BPM sounds. Their music blends heavyweight sub-bass, crisp percussion, and old-school influences with a modern production approach, earning support from respected figures across the underground bass community.

Since debuting with the N4 / Double Red EP on Juan Forté in 2019, Fearless Dread have built a strong catalogue through releases on Plantpower, Sub Merchants, Sublock, Dimeshift, and their own Sovereign imprint. Their Lost Dubs series further showcased their dedication to authentic soundsystem-focused dubstep, while tracks such as Sucker Punch highlighted their ability to fuse classic aesthetics with contemporary energy.

Alongside their studio output, Fearless Dread have developed a respected live presence, supporting influential acts, appearing at events such as Outlook Origins, and hosting regular shows on Rinse FM. Remaining active in 2026, the duo continue to release new music, perform internationally, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of UK underground bass music.

Retrospective Eight

Releases

Kemist ➡️ Pacific Numen ➡️ Hyst 🔄

The same day I bought my Korg KP3 Pad, I also bought FL Studio. From 2009 - 2015 I tought myself to do enough to make a tune. 2016 I lucked out. A friend I met had taken music production in university and he used FL. He passed on his knowledge to me about cut, mixes, creating etc.

We formed Pacific Numen, we had a few drops in that period. Most noteably the Black Sabbath flip @infernal_sounds put out, and @dream_eater_records

We split as good things never last forever.

But this is when I started to shine, @frozen_plates @greenkingcuts took a shot and signed tunes for physical releasesn (vinyl) 🛐💜♾️

I am still dropping tunes as of last week with @fortress.ldn - put out an absolute stinker and @sublock.dub in the past bit

My big bro and I started @hyst.sound and have been doing more lefty curveball Dubstep (alot of techno and breaks influences) thank you to @sndsystmcltr for having us on the 5th compilation - I am now on 3 of the 6 comps from Matt 🙏🏼

I'd also like to give love to @lowendmusic for using my photography for their 4th release. 📸 that one is super special

I have 2 more releases lined up for 2026 yet. Who knows what we will see soon!
