Was such an honor to host @doakdevelopment at my range for a precision rifle class. These guys are top notch so if you ever get a chance to attend one of their classes I highly recommend it. Really enjoyed meeting some awesome new people and watching everyone improve as a shooter over the weekend. Excited to host more classes and put on more events on the range as I improve it over time.

Send this to someone who will add anything there is space for… maybe thats you?

Where I have landed is that it is good to be able to operate analog, but theres a right tool for every job, and not every job needs every tool.

Don't TL/DR me bro!: (read)

Short hand: I came up with a drill and am sharing it in hopes of opening minds and winning hearts. Ok, mostly the first part... This was the least busy the range was today, forgive the unsuppressed gun blasts.

I've been trying to figure out how to be less of a product page and more of a community. I've had a handful of ideas but not all of them were worth the time.

Speaking with @pupil_of_precision , we refined a few thoughts; I don't want to be an also rand. I don't want to regurgitate concepts or training idioms. I also need to stay in my wheelhouse; I'm not an SME. Just because I supply pros with tools to enhance their capabilities doesn't mean I am by proxy.

So, in conjunction with reviving my "Universal Training Exchange" segment where I collaborate with users to share lightbulb moments in attempts to enhance training and work, I thought I'd share a drill I came up with a few years ago.

Now, it's entirely possible someone has something similar, but I didn't find it back then so here it is.

(Slide 2 has the video and full description of the idea) ----------------------------------->

"Run what you brung":

2+ shooters, alternating to choose the following:

1. Object, tool, etc. to use (tripod in this case)
2. How to use it (leg up with a shooting bag)
3. Target (small bull @50)
4. Time and or conditions. (No time in this case but I was shooting or sub 15 seconds)

It's simple, and works incredibly well as a warm up or cool down, to either wake the brain up or culminate the session.

Now, I challenge you, dear reader, to come up with your own and collaborate with me on what you come up with.

Cheers!

P.S. Video cut due to time and there may have been a finger in front of the lense for the first run...
