We’re looking back on 9yrs of memories whilst gearing up for next years big 10th anniversary bash which should be the best of the best right ? 10 years, we can hardly believe it. In 2017 we were told not to expect much of a response as Aberdonians were a famously miserable bunch who didn’t appreciate art. I remember thinking what nonsense, what they likely don’t appreciate, is being told what to like by those living on public funds in high castles 🏰. And was I right ? Absolutely ! An astonishing response from the bottom up ! I knew we had it when some feral homeless looking fella with tears in his eyes gave me a hug and raved about the Herakut mural as he watched it day by day go up on the old market. Our core audience if you like, because if you can convince this demographic that it has value, you can convince anyone ! Art always works best from the bottom up ! The only “top down” at Nuart is the artist in a cherry picker coming down for more paint !

What would you like to see in 2027, hit us up in the comments with suggestions !

OH WOW what a crazy busy summer it’s been! I had the absolute joy of being a part of @re.bootmarket in August (and I’m only just posting about it now… 😅) 💛

A huge huuuuuge thank you to @re.bootmarket & @melonchunkmedia for organising and curating such a beautiful, artistic market filled with talented independent business, makers and designers ~ you’re truly fantastic! Also a huge shoutout to @buildhollywood for lending us your space and for all your help with advertising and making the event come together! 🪄🌸

It was a fabulous day and I feel so grateful to have been introduced to this amazing network of creatives! I’m honestly so blown away by all the people I met and their inspiring pieces and stories ~ go check out the tagged artists and show them some love ! 🦄✨
