Time for a little photo dump!

Birthday book (and other things) haul! I did a little shopping at @bookwomanaustin , @succulentnative and @halfpricebooks to treat myself a little. I got Alphabet Diaries (after @finalreads told me she thought I'd like it) from Book Woman where I got a little sticker and bookmark too. Right after, I got a little plant from the neighboring Succulent Native. Half price books was HUGE and there was so much to choose from - it was my first time going to one but certainly not the last. I thrifted and checked out some vintage stores too - clothes not pictured. 🫣 After I got home from my shopping extravaganza, my mom sent me the mozzarella jellycat (like HELLO how cute is he) and a little bookworm keychain that was in a blind box! So fun! I had a wonderful day wandering around and bringing many things home with me. Have you read any of these titles? What did you think?

What a weekend!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by Goofball’s pop up at @succulentnative this weekend! It was so much fun getting to celebrate Succulent Native’s 10 year anniversary with you guys.

And a very special thank you to Anna and Eric for having us and letting Goofball be a tiny part of such a special milestone.

I love seeing how differently each person approaches the same starting point: a new shape here, a favorite texture there, a little detail that makes the piece entirely their own.

I never get tired of opening the kiln. 🥹

There’s so much possibility tucked into these pieces. Each one began with someone simply sitting down with a slab of clay and giving themselves permission to try.

A little guidance, a little experimentation, a few happy accidents, and suddenly there’s something that didn’t exist before.

This is my favorite part of teaching: watching people trust their own ideas and discover that they’re capable of more than they thought.

Three opportunities to dive into clay with me this September.

I’m really excited about next month’s schedule and getting to create in three inspiring locations.

Starting off at @succulentnative surrounded by plants. Then off to New Mexico, the birthplace of this beautiful sparkling red mica clay. And finally landing back home in my backyard studio where these workshops began.

Every workshop has its own little personality, and I’m especially excited about this one ❤️

The Red Mica Altars workshop is an invitation to slow down, work with your hands, and spend a few hours creating something intentional. We’ll be shaping beautiful shimmering altars that can hold meaning, memories, treasures, or simply bring a sense of warmth and grounding to a space.

I’ve always loved the feeling of being surrounded by plants while making things, so hosting this one at @succulentnative feels especially lovely 🌿
