LIFE IS SILLY!!! We are literally all just breathing on this floating rock. Belly laugh, and swim and scream and cry. Eat the freaking cake! Love loudly! And be kind, but get a lil sassy if you need to! Hug your people! Heck, kiss ‘em!!! do what makes YOU happy❤️‍🔥

good news from la jungla! our local heart Alvaro has finally been able to get to Cangrejo and everyone was alive and well! tomorrow we’re going to have a chat about how the questionnaire fill went, what the needs are, and how we can contribute to restoring feasible living circumstances after the rains. this allows us to make an efficient cost allocation and make sure the resources are implemented right. stay tuned for more news and thank you, really, for your generous support in hurricane relief aid. the maysea movement #mayseamovement #bettertogether #wearenotstrangers

Co-Giving in Nicaragua.

Where the diversity of thought and background is represented as a learning exchange.

Where you walk away from a week of community bathed in culture and extraordinary energies that allow everyone involved to change.

10 unforgettable humans flew to Nicaragua to meet a community in the jungle of San Juan del Sur, all on the promise of a wild experience. This is their worlds colliding.

We trust our social networks to invoke feelings in others and inspire ourselves. We fill our voids scrolling for inspiration or over inspiring others to the point of un-inspiration. We’re seeing, but not experiencing. Don’t get me wrong, the tools we have bring so many opportunities. Greta Thunberg uniting 4 million people in 270 cities? But a tool is useless without any action behind it.
There’s this little triangle called Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. It’s an age-old theory outlining our needs and motivations in a pyramid. A need can’t be met until the one below has. Physical things make up the bottom and abstract at the top. Whole pyramid, whole you.
Self-Actualization
Ego
Belongingness
Security
Physical

I’ll be honest, I’m super guilty of focusing on the bottom. It wasn’t until this trip that the other pieces hit me in the face. It really is simple. Not easy, but simple.
Here we were, 10 humans from somewhere else, in the middle of the jungle, along with the others brought together by the @mayseamovement, each for our own reasons.

Then I saw it. Two halves of the triangle coming together. All thanks to a simple idea. Everyone expected to give, but I don’t think anyone expected to receive just as much in return.

Anything that feels off with life, relationships, families, businesses, can be diagnosed with this triangle.

Be honest with yourself. If you’re stuck in the constant chase and need a little something in any aspect of your life, trust the universe that you’ve read this far for a reason.

The @mayseamovement has 6 #cogiving trips in the books for 2020 and plenty of projects in the works from school restoration & education to water wellness & agriculture. They’ve even teamed up with local @westaylost to make sure you experience every bit of wild Nicaragua has to offer.

Dates & information are posted on the @mayseamovement website. Give it a read, google your triangles, chat them up, and just know that you’re going to come home with much more.
