Back in the 80s, taking shots with the girls meant loud music, big hair, questionable dance moves and probably a few decisions we won’t be discussing here.

Fast forward a few decades and we’re STILL taking shots with the girls! Only these days, we’re a little more interested in our skin, joints, hair and nails with our #1 collagen shot than who’s buying the next round. 🥃

Four friends, four states and one thing we agree on. Getting older doesn’t mean getting boring, and we’re planning on having just as much fun in our 80s as we did in the 80s!

The older I get, the more I realize how rare it is to find women you can be completely yourself around.

The ones you can laugh too loud with. Be vulnerable with. Show up messy with. The ones who celebrate you, encourage you, and somehow bring out an even better version of you.
🥰And the ones who check on YOU, too. Who reach out first. Who notice when you’ve been quiet. Where friendship doesn’t feel like something you have to constantly chase or carry by yourself.👏🏼👏🏼

I said yes to a wellness community never realizing it would connect me to men and women all over the world who would become some of the most genuine friendships in my life.
🙌🏼No competition. No pretending. No perfectly polished versions of ourselves. People who calm your nervous system can you feel better after you’ve spent time with them!

Just real people, real connection, a whole lot of laughter… and friendships I truly can’t imagine my life without. 💚

Turns out the community was one of the greatest gifts of saying yes.

I honestly can’t believe I’m typing that.
When I was younger, 60 seemed old.

Now?
It feels like a gift.

I’ve learned a lot in six decades. Some lessons came easily. Others took me a little longer. 😅

I’ve learned that health matters.
Friendships matter.
Family matters.
Purpose matters.
And taking care of the future version of yourself matters.

Today I’m grateful.
For another birthday.
For another trip around the sun.
For the people who make life richer.

And yes…

Apparently for collagen shots with my friends. 😂

Here’s to the next decade.
