POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

5 years of living and working in Vancouver. A lot has changed over the years but the truth is that it was incredibly easy for me to settle from the prairies since we are a pretty sturdy stock. I still think it is funny that people still try to convince me that 5°C is colder in Vancouver than -40°C with windchill is in Edmonton.

I have made a lot of new friends and joined new communities while I've been here. I need more photos of me with friends though, I've noticed that I tend to continue my existence as a background character or so it would seem.

I'm hoping to celebrate more anniversaries here in Vancouver.

here’s the thing about Queer people, we’re really good at making something with what we’ve got.

and what we’ve got is a community of humans; filmmakers, performers, artists, activists, educators, staff and volunteers who dare to dream with us.

we are the change we hope to see.

so we’re building a bigger table…

with room for more of us.

with room for truest expression of your he[art].

with space for your joy and your rage and your pain and your hope.

there’s 4 days left to experience the 38th Vancouver Film Festival- we hope to see you there💛

Hope you’re all doing well :)

I’ve been throwing events for 6 years now and the next few are pretty significant to me—

Tonight 🕊️: We’re throwing a fundraiser for regions affected by war. Super stacked lineup of queer artists who believe in a better world.
When I was in grade 12, two dudes threatened to beat me up because I was gay and a Kurdish dude stepped in and told them to chill. This is my love letter to him and I hope we can raise some funds <3 Entry by donation, if you can, be generous

Sep 18 Boy Aquarium🤼: In half a decade of throwing parties, I wasn’t interested in hosting man-centred events because I never really felt welcome at them— friends convinced me to create spaces where anyone could get frisky and dance and I’m excited to be a boy and live a circuit party fantasy

Sep 19 IRL🖼️: I’ll be collaborating with @clubquarantine to host @normiecorp’s debut in Toronto. I worked as a moderator/host at their zoom parties and got connected to some of the most talented people to ever exist. They showed me what was possible with queer creativity during a global lockdown, and I owe a lot to them. Category is touch grass and shake ass. ALSO.. LOOK AT THE LINEUP….

I am so inspired by the beauty and the ugly around me.
Reminder that we need to come together and stand up against the bullies. Thank you for dancing with us <3

For decades, we’ve been fed propaganda for empires to continue funding war.

On September 11, we are gathering to dance, and raise funds for people whose lives are being impacted by war.

Come together with us and celebrate an incredible lineup of South West Asian, North African, Black, and/or Indigenous artists.

Your ticket helps pay our artists and cover venue costs.
The organizers and a majority of the artists have donated their time.

100% of profits will go toward mutual aid for individual fundraisers supporting people and communities in affected regions.

Nobody turned away due to lack of funds

Ready to hit the runway? ✨

Whether you’re a first-time walker or looking to strengthen your foundation, this class is for you.

We’ll kick things off by watching All-American Runway clips and breaking down the five elements of the category:
👠 Strut (stride & pace)
✨ Effect (fashion & form)
🔥 Footwork (tricks)
💅 Attitude (personality & character)
📸 Poses/Stance

From there, you’ll learn warm-ups to activate your body, strengthen your posture, discover your signature strut, and practice the basic turns every walker needs for their 10s.

Come build confidence, sharpen your walk, and learn the foundations of All-American Runway. See you there! 🖤
