One year ago today, @lizzie_davis05 donated her kidney as part of the National Kidney Registry Voucher Program so that @mili_bernal_ could earn priority access to a future living-donor kidney. Lizzie improved the health of someone in need in order to help a friend. We celebrated with Mili when she received her kidney on February 25, 2026.

🌻 FUN FINDS SATURDAY 🌻

Today’s FUN FINDS took us a little farther from home and deep into coastal North Carolina, where we traded our usual Brunswick–>Waycross–>Jesup triangle for a beautiful morning at @sugarbees_bloomery near New Bern, NC.

The first thing that caught our attention was the sea of vibrant blooms stretching across the farm. Guests could wander the fields and cut their own bouquets, creating colorful arrangements straight from the source. The farm stand was equally charming, filled with bee-inspired gifts, handcrafted treasures, and creative wares from a talented mother-son team.

After admiring the flowers, we somehow managed to speed-walk past the food trucks (a true act of self-control) and headed into the maker market.

🐝 @brightbpottery impressed us with beautiful handcrafted ceramics and thoughtful designs.

🍰 @tinker_cakes_ delivered our afternoon surprise: a honey lavender buttercream cake that was every bit as delicious as it sounds. Their small-batch layered cakes featured flavors like lemon, caramel, peanut butter, and lavender, all decorated with incredible attention to detail.

🍞 @loafthyneighbornc tempted us with fresh sourdough, but since we already had a loaf waiting at home, we opted for a garlic rosemary focaccia instead. Pasta night may have just planned itself.

🧼 Stewards of Grace showcased handcrafted soaps made from beef tallow and lard, using locally grown and organically sourced ingredients. Simple, natural, and beautifully made.

🕯️ We wrapped up our visit with one of our favorite stops: @tylertradingco of New Bern. Their candles, soaps, fragrances, and apothecary products are always exceptional, and they continue to be a source of inspiration and mentorship as we build Brunswick Candle Company.

The best part of FUN FINDS is discovering that whether you’re in Brunswick, Georgia, or coastal North Carolina, the story is always the same: passionate people creating beautiful things with their own hands.

That’s exactly the kind of community Brunswick Mercantile was built to celebrate.
