Some things in life aren’t just a phase… they become part of your entire life story.

I found The Monkees when I was six years old and instantly fell in love. They were the best friends I didn’t have at that time and so desperately wanted. It probably doesn’t make sense to anyone but me, but when I found the Monkees it was like I finally felt like I belonged, like I had found home.

I grew up going to concert after concert, collecting albums, books, artwork, following their solo careers, and somehow finding the greatest joy in their music through every stage of my life. They have been my calm and my comfort through all the ups and downs.

Over the years, I was lucky enough to meet each of them individually—something little six-year-old me never could have imagined.

And now tonight… here I am at the 60th anniversary tour, watching Micky Dolenz, one of the most talented musicians and songwriters, perform these songs that have been woven into the soundtrack of my life for decades.

But what made tonight truly unforgettable was sharing it with my daughter Paris, who gifted me these tickets for Mother’s Day.

Standing beside her, singing every word, dancing to every song, sharing music that shaped her life for all her 23 years….well folks, life doesn’t get much better than that!

It was memory, nostalgia, love, and joy all wrapped up into one beautiful night, shared with friends and Monkees fans that become family simply upon meeting them! That doesn’t happen at other concerts yall! The Monkees family is like any other!

I can’t fully put into words what The Monkees have meant to me over the years… but tonight reminded me that the best parts of life are the things we carry with us—and the people we get to share them with.

A night I will never forget. ❤️

I have gotten to meet, work with, and have gorgeous lil moments with so many people on this tour.

Beyond grateful to @officialandybell & @dstephenmoss for having me on this wild ride - seeing Andy perform every night is an absolute dream 🥹

Getting to hang and debate and laugh and make music every day with @adamgguitar has been wonderful.

Meeting countless fans - people of all ages, nationalities, styles - at the merch table, getting to bond…this moves me more than I can describe.

Thank you to Andy’s lovely band @sarahtomekdrums @jerryfuentesofficial @kingchelseasrealm @daveaude for welcoming me into the family & to @seanblackphoto for being the coolest merch / photo / constant road dog ever.

Kismet ✨
