Romance com Chihiro

Livro: Bingsu Para Dois
Autora: Sujin Witherspoon
Editora Rocco
Páginas: 304
Publicado: 2026

still thinking about our cozy cabin retreat ⛺✨

recently had a short yet magical getaway in coupeville!! we ate so much hotpot and halloween cookies, cuddled with Earl Grey, and got so much work done

in an era where my writing time has been scaled back, this weekend was a great reminder why writing is so important and why i still make time for it—and i'm so glad i got to spend this time with these lovely authors 🫶

The Hallyu Wave is here! And it's coming to your bookshelves in 2028!

We are so honored to be editing this K-Novel duology with so many amazing Korean diaspora voices! An ode to K-Dramas and K-Pop that we've always loved!

Featuring stories by June Hur, Susan Lee, Zoe Hana Mikuta, Axie Oh, Jihyun Yun, Sujin Witherspoon, Talia Tucker, Sarah Suk.

LOST IN K-DRAMAS is out Spring 2028 with Crown Books.
A Korean-American teen accidentally wrecks a K-Drama set that just so happens to be a favorite of a Korean god (shin). As punishment she is sent into different K-Dramas to help the characters find their happy endings, or else...

Thank you @pwkidsbookshelf for the feature:

“I remember being introduced to K-dramas as a kid by my grandmother who loved to watch historical melodramas,” Cho told PW. “Korean pop culture was more than just entertainment; it was a way to feel connected to my roots. It’s been great to see K-dramas and K-pop become global sensations—something our younger selves would have adored.”

Oh said, “Growing up as a Gen X Korean American meant watching K-dramas on VHS tapes that were rented by the bagful from the video counter at our local H Mart. And all my K-pop came to me via the music variety shows on that one Korean channel we had. Now access to K-pop and K-dramas is everywhere, which is literally like my dream come true! I honestly couldn't have imagined this when I was young.”

Well, what is more perfect then a carousel of all the amazing people I was able to see so far this year!? Thanks for all the wisdom, laughs and always being down for a 5 hour plus coffee and yap.

𝙄𝙩'𝙨 𝙖 𝙬𝙧𝙖𝙥 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧!

Well, September was a month full of surprises because this month I read all Fiction and of course Fantasy is the top choice because why not? Also went for the Big Book Giveaway from @nlbsingapore and snagged 20 books in total, all from different genres, some standalone and some series which I'm keen on diving in once I have the time.

It was also filled with reading interesting eARCs, books that fell flat that I almost struggled to finish bt powered through, relieved that it was done because it was a waste of time. I hope i don't have to do that to any books this month (phew).

Well, so how was your September so far? Any books that you'll recommend or books that you didn't finish because it was bad? Let me know in the comments below!

I am a little jealous of authors whose debut books are bangers. It takes immense talent for your writing to be that good in a debut.

What are some amazing debut books by authors you love?

Books mentioned:
The Collected Regrets of Clover
Heir Of Illusion
The Friendship Fling
Bingsu for Two
The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels

Bingsu for Two

🐉 Bingsu for Two is a family-run café struggling to attract customers, as such cafés are being squeezed out by larger café chains. One of these is the café run by River’s parents, which River decides to leave because he no longer feels that original, cosy, family atmosphere – just business.
🐉 River and Sarang had fantastic chemistry between them. Their dialogue and their general banter were a real joy to read; there were many times when I just wanted to laugh. On the other hand, they also managed to get on my nerves – especially River. He wanted to please everyone and often forgot about himself and what he actually wanted. Because of this, he found himself in absurd situations. However, he was really good at creating content for social media, and that’s exactly how he managed to help the Bingsu for Two café. Sarang, on the other hand, was quite direct; she needed things to go exactly as she imagined, and when they didn’t, there was a problem 😁
🐉 A YA book where the characters have to make difficult decisions that affect not only themselves but also the people around them. We get to meet a variety of characters, ranging from friends and enemies to the main characters’ parents and siblings. Each one is different and presents different kinds of challenges for Rivera and Sarang. The story also explores the power of friendship, the struggle for a shared goal, and love in all its forms.
🐉 In its own way, this was a really cute read. It was charming, funny and, at times, nerve-wracking – to the point where I felt the characters simply wanted to be foolish in certain situations. But what sort of people would we be if we didn’t act recklessly in some situations? Thanks to this, the characters were portrayed very realistically, and I was able to really empathise with them whilst reading.

💬 What was the last cute book you read?
