My best friend turned 40 today! ✨

If you know Steven you know that he is deep, caring, kind, and wise. He’s one of the most unique individuals I’ve ever met and he sets the standard of what a true man is. He loves Jesus and follows Him well. He’s true to his word and a safe place for many. He’s powerful and decisive. Slow to speak, choosing his words before he releases them. He often hits it off really well with elderly strangers. He’s got an insane gift for seeing the hearts of people and calling them to their best selves. He’s hard working and stable, on all accounts. I never question his faithfulness, he’s all in. He’s funny and goofy.. very rarely showing a secret nerd!!! Honestly, the best roommate ever. I could go on and on but I’ll stop so we can watch Ted Lasso. Steven Peters, you’re my best friend, my baby daddy, and my soul mate. I love you, and I’d choose you again and again. Congrats, 40 years is quite an accomplishment 😘.

Ps… our age gap will officially weird me out until I’m 30 👌🏽

Laugh with him.
As much as you affirm him.
As much as you play with him.
And remind him of how great he is.
Then go out of your way to show him affection in his favorite ways.
Don’t withhold love and kindness from him, he needs it.
And celebrate all the things he does to love you and provide for you.
Remind him of the times you felt loved by him. The times you noticed his effort. The times you saw masculinity in him that made you fall a little more in love with him.
We’re all our best when we’re loved and believed in.
Make your presence a safe one.
And if you’re with a genuinely good man, you’ll see even more goodness unfold🤍

What’s one thing you want to do to light up your life or relationship?🔥
