though so much remains uncertain, I remain steadfast in my belief that the growing community I’ve built over my years will continue to sustain me.
Every year of my life has had a theme, and this year’s theme was gratitude. Boundless gratitude to Allah SWT for giving me the most supportive and wonderful people, who continue to teach me, who give me life and answer my prayers with their genuine kindness. Even when I’ve felt defeated, even when I’ve felt consumed by loneliness, I’ve never felt alone. I feel infinitely blessed for the miracles I see around me every day, the resilience I bear witness to here at home and all over the globe.
even just this weekend, I’ve felt so enveloped in the love of my community, my global family, and that love will carry me through every new challenge, and every new joy will be even sweeter with them by my side.
thank you for being here with me, thank you for your prayers and kindnesses, they are never small to me!
