To say I was skeptical would be a major understatement. However, @summer.stems works as exactly as described.
You can load a final mix into it and then individual stems printed through the mix bus one at a time and then the software will process the stems so that they COMPLETELY null when the mix is phase inverted.

How? I have know idea but it actually works.

We all know that printing individual stems one at a time will not simply add back up to equal the mix. And all the side chain processing to try to make that work is also iffy and a huge PIA. It’s remarkable. I’m still stunned.

But it works. And I’ve tested it more than once.

Entré escéptico a probar SUMMER y me sorprendió.

Su propuesta: que tus mix stems —grupos ya mezclados de batería, bajo, voces, etc., no los tracks individuales del multitrack— reconstruyan tu mezcla final al sumarlos.

Hice mis propias pruebas en Pro Tools con un null test: alineas dos versiones e inviertes la polaridad de una. Si son idénticas, se cancelan.

Mis mix stems originales dejaron un residuo contra mi mezcla. También comparé su suma con la de los mix stems de SUMMER: quedaron diferencias audibles.

Pero los de SUMMER contra mi mezcla cancelaron: no escuché residuo ni vi actividad en el medidor del master. Incluso con plugins y procesamiento analógico en el stereo bus.

Al quitar instrumentos y voces, la separación siguió limpia y natural. Mis mix stems ya funcionaban bien, pero prefiero que su suma coincida con mi mezcla. En esta prueba, SUMMER cumplió.

Ahora viene la prueba de fuego: la mezcla Dolby Atmos. Vamos a ver cómo funcionan.

I was skeptical about SUMMER, but it surprised me.

It adjusts your mix stems—mixed instrument groups, not individual multitrack files—so they sum back to your final mix.

I ran my own null tests in Pro Tools: align two versions and invert one’s polarity. Identical audio cancels.

My original mix stems left a residual against my mix. Comparing their sum against SUMMER’s also revealed audible differences.

But SUMMER’s mix stems canceled against my final mix: no audible residual or visible activity on the master meter—even with plugins and analog bus processing.

Muting instruments and vocals preserved clean, natural separation. My mix stems already worked well, but I prefer the closer match. In this test, SUMMER delivered.

Next comes the real-world test: the Dolby Atmos mix.
