Look at these happy faces! It’s truly a miracle.

Not just how happy we all are here together, but the mere fact that I’m in person with them, and that they are all #lawyers who love their lives and their law practices.

Here’s the miracle of it.

I used to believe if I let the lawyer community see all of me - the parts that I shamed and kept hidden and that I felt confused about - that they’d hate me and wouldn’t hire me.

Because I believed that, I spent a lot of energy trying to hide those parts.

And I created a reality in which I got to see all the evidence of my greatest fears. Because it is true, some lawyers really do not like me. I’m definitely not for everyone. But the one’s I am for, REALLY love how I serve them.

And the best part (to me) is that I love them too. And through loving them, I love myself more.

Hiding myself was never the right answer. It was the scared, confused and self-absorbed answer.

But, if I had been stronger, smarter and had more support …

I would have stopped hiding myself sooner.

I would have gotten more curious, more vulnerable, and more focused on serving and less focused on protecting myself from judgment.

As a result, I would have trained more lawyers with the @newlawbusinessmodel I invented.

But I didn’t have the support I needed to see what I really needed to see … being all of myself was always the only way, and trusting that those who were attracted to me were my right people. I could let the rest go, and doing so was great news because it left me more time, energy and attention to SERVE the people I love - these lawyers.

If you are afraid to be all of you, and that if you are you won’t get clients (a common fear), I encourage you to test it. See if it’s true. Be more of you! And serve your heart out instead of wasting energy trying to contort yourself into some “ideal” representation of what you think your clients want.

If I can be all of me, and serve lawyers, you can be all of you and serve your community too.

Have you ever felt you needed to hide, hold yourself back, or stay small to stay in business? If so, I’d love to hear how you are breaking free of that now. ❤️😻🙏🏼

Can’t decide what I love more…how my dad is seriously channeling Patrick Swayze, how my mom is seriously rocking that perm AND those beads in her hair or basically just everything about this photo and the incredible couple in it. I know I’m a little late to the game, but it’s still your 44th wedding anniversary year and I love you both so much it hurts! Thank you for continuing to be an example of what a perfectly imperfect marriage looks like and how you #nevergiveup 👊🏻 💕🌲
