Last night reminded me why I love opening our home.

Looking around the backyard, I realized almost everyone there (except for two!) are kids we’ve watched grow into incredible adults. What a gift it is to still get to do life with them.

Jason has always been this way. He doesn’t try to be everyone’s person… but he loves his people with everything he has. Seeing everyone gathered together—laughing, competing, holding babies, playing with the dogs—was my favorite part of the night.

And if you’re wondering where Maki is in all the pictures… she was too busy creating the night to be in it. She dreamed up the challenges, designed the details, and somehow managed to capture everyone else’s memories while making the whole thing come to life.

Thank you all for spending your Saturday with us. These are the nights that remind me how lucky we are—not because of the theme or the decorations, but because of the people who keep showing up for each other.

❤️ Outwit. Outplay. Outlast.

Congrats to Chef @gavin.cooks for winning Meat Church’s Employee of the Summer contest!!! Gavin constantly went above and beyond all summer to win a fat cash award and recognition from our leadership team.

We decided to have a little dunk tank fun with Gavin at the company party. PS - nice shot @summerraemoonroof!
