SAVE THIS FOR YOUR NEXT SHOOT!

If you want to make the MOST of your next dance shoot (or really any shoot) here’s a few of my favorite tips:

• PRACTICE your POSES
You know what you do best, you know what tricks are up your sleeve, and unless your photographer is your dance teacher they won’t know what you can do! I recommend having 5-6 poses you know you want to showcase locked and loaded for your photoshoot.

• BRING AN OUTFIT CHANGE
This is optional but I recommend bringing 2 looks you love! If you only shoot in 1 that’s ok but options are nice to have. Think about what will look great with the location/backdrop. *be sure to hang/fold your clothes so they aren’t wrinkled for your shoot.

• DON’T FORGET YOUR SHOES
Dance shoes, street shoes, socks, barefoot— think of what will fit the vibe you’re going for. Better to bring options than wish you had them once you’re shooting!

• NO CRUSTY SPRAY TANS
If it’s streaky, orange, or wearing off…it’s going to show up in the photos.

• CLEAR deodorant or NO deodorant
will save you from white marks on your clothes, especially if you are changing looks part way through the shoot. Change carefully so you don’t get makeup or deodorant on your outfit!

• DON’T be AFRAID to ASK
Communicate anything you have in mind with your photographer! Are you wanting lots of head shot options? Lots of leg extension pics? Shooting for anything in particular? Have some inspo photos you love? Photographers Just want you to love your photos! Don’t shy away from discussing what you want!

•BE ON TIME
Especially for a mini session, time is going to be limited. Consider coming already dressed in your first look.

These are a few of my top tips 💕 if you have any you want to add I’d love to hear them!

✨STUDIO SPOT AVAILABLE ✨ two spots currently available for sublease, starting ASAP ✔️ located in Sugarhouse, UT, $350/month starting June 1st- this space will NOT be available to the public- so if you have been looking for a space to create content, photograph clients, video work, meeting space, editing space, work space- this is IT! This building is full of creatives, inspiring design and BEAUTIFUL light ✨

Years ago I was able to run it as an hourly rental space and we had family shoots, product photography, workshops, video productions and daily portrait sessions- it was busy and so many people were able to use the space.

This time around we are limiting access to a group of 5 creators/businesses who will be sharing this private studio. The space is huge and full of visual potential ✨

PLEASE SHARE this reel if you have any followers who might benefit from a space with incredible creative potential- I would be forever grateful 🥰

Used an entire bottle of hand sanitizer today. It was a small bottle. But still.
