Hi everyone! My name is Sumner Harris, and I’m stoked to be your co-social media chair this year! I’m from Scituate, Massachusetts, and I’m a sophomore majoring in geography with a minor in meteorology. Growing up in a seaside town that was extremely vulnerable to coastal storms, I was constantly surrounded by conversations about the weather, which definitely sparked my interest in the atmosphere and its capabilities.

My favorite events to forecast are Nor’easters, especially those that bring heavy snowfall. Outside of academics, I enjoy surfing, working out, cooking and baking, and listening to music. I’m wicked excited for this year and so grateful to be a board member of the Forecasting Club!
